Free redirect server for UT by ut-files.com
 

UT-Files.com has been hosting a free redirect server for the community for a few months now, I figure now that it's been running pretty solid for that time, I can start promoting it so other server administrators can find it.

If you'd like to upload new files for redirection, then please register on the forums:

To prevent lamers and spam bots your post(s) must be approved by an administrator or moderator. Once that is done you'll be given access to the hidden forum where the login credentials are located for the FTP server.

The files are transferred every 5 minutes to the redirection site. This process is automatic.

The server is located on the East Coast of the USA, it's connected to a 100MBit connection so the speeds should be really fast for USA players and decently fast for our players across the big sea. Although from my past experience, even they get really fast speeds as well.

Do not fear, it's not going away permanently anytime soon that's for sure. For maintenance or problems that may come up; Maybe but as limited as possible.

Hi Skillz, noticed that the redirect and website are down as of 5PM EST. I can only access the redirect through FTP for uploads.
Is it going back up soon?

It's back up ! :D Glad to see that it is, Skillz offers a great redirect and file repository to the UT community.

Just temporary,
By the way it is planned for a little down time on July 9th.
I recieved this email a couple of days ago:

The site will be down for a period of about 40 minutes between the hours of
12am to 4am, Friday July 9th. Installing new hardware to accommodate the
files hosted here.

Hi all, it's September 6th, 2010 and I just logged in via FTP to upload some files but all of the directories are empty. Is that normal? Seems there should be some files visible but I am such a rookie that I don't know. Anyone have information on this?

that normal ;)

Those directories are just temp directories. Once the file(s) get uploaded, they are then transferred to the redirection site.

If you want to know if you file is already on the redirect, then visit it directly using the links below.
