CheckConnectionAttempt: Error while checking socket status.
 
any idea's on what causes this lovely error which results in not being able to host/join a server?

Did you solve this already?
I have the same error messages.

Log: CheckConnectionAttempt: Error while checking socket status.
Just after someone connects.

I have this problem too!

CheckConnectionAttempt: Error while checking socket status.
NotifyAcceptingConnection: Server MyLevel accept

Also after a player connects:
Connection timed out after 120.000000 seconds (120.043142)
Close TcpipConnection3 Sat Sep 22 15:05:38 2012

The server ran ok but suddenly I get these messages and the server is not running stable anymore.:cry:

Masterserver is close for maintenance.
Ave you set the news ?

The best is that I have another server and its almost clone of this one and all its fine ...

You launch the two servers with the same port in the same time ? check all ports for see if they are open.
