Subscribe to other admins' ban lists
I think a good feature would be to be able to "subscribe" to other admins' ban lists. We all like to maintain full control over our servers, but there are those we trust enough to share ban info with. Relationships can sour though, so being able to unsubscribe would be a key part of it.
This would also allow those that have their servers being used for competition to temporarily subscribe to a master ban list for that ladder. |
That's a feature in UTAN2 - I have no idea how that project is progresssing. There hasn't been any news on it for a while now.

Were still working on it, instead of GISP's were moving to single accounts where you add buddies and you download their lists to the servers.

Schaweeeet. Thanks for all your hard work!

You will be able to ignore individual buddy bans.

Hmmm. At the moment any admin in a GISP can edit/remove bans for other admins in the group, which is great. Would be good if that level of trusted admin ban edit/remove can continue.
The addition of buddy bans is going to be great. Looking forward to adding banlists from Jolt/other trusted servers. |
The problem I can see with a buddy list system is people just adding everyone to harvest GUIDs. But, since this project seems to be on the back burner, hopefully epic will have fixed GUID spoofing come ut2k7.

It's perfectly safe to post GUID's. |
Meh! I thought there might be news of UTAN2 posted here.
Is UTAN 2 canned or still progressing? |
Still progressing afaik.
|
Would be nice to have a little update
|
In-between other projects and commitments we are still working on TAN 2.0.
|
I'm willing to help.
