hey guys, great work on the 4E version. working nicely on our server, but i noticed that SOMETIMES the teamsay is YELLOW... (only sometimes) but most of the time it is just staying GREEN for all teamsay/say.
i dont mind putting a mutator that will change the teamsay colors though, does anybody know of one?

Hello does anyone know why flags are not showing when picked up?... all I can see is a blue/red glow around the flag bearer...

That usually happens when a package is missing from the ServerPackages= lines.

weird flags not showing even when smartctf dissabled
could it be a Texture corruption or some like that. what .utx / botpack are the flags in ?
have seen this problem in here somewhere before was again something simple.. thanks for your help Skillz.
flags show before grab , then vanish as soon as picked up by bots/players... and when dropped u can't them either...

u have sexy sound and it's bug with bots;when they dead with the flag they don't drop it but reaspond with it.

hmm no , when I get flag it does not show either...
even when smartctf disabled no flags show when picked up

I remember having this issue...I can't remember whether I made a flag fix or not for my server but off the top of my mind, try bFixFlagbug=True in SmartCTF

Hey dude , Found the Problem.
Posted fix here was totally unrelated to SmartCTF but rather it involved FASTCAP mutator being loaded without ServerPackage in .INI.

Yes, that is the reason why I was not using FastCap. It also bugged the ScoreBoard making it multiply grabs for some reason

damn only realised this version was available like few days ago when server hopping.
Q. does this restore all stats for the round or just player score?
like if players time-out for some reason are there stats for the round .. gone forever?
also.. would there maybe be in the pipeline .. some merger or ATB AutoTeamBalance/Stats into SmrtCTF/DM5?
thinking .. why not combine all 3 together.. also making compatible with NexGen.
Noggy has released the code afaik and under the WTFgpl licence.. meaning I guess go hard and implement the Kitchen Sink.
also.. the scoreboard/s I like your version best so far except a couple of changes perhaps.. like allowing upto 24 players to be visible instead of 10.. like yours except 2 columns like smart ctf.. and 8 rows deep?
also ability to .. change the opacity of the bg.. as some people like transparent to watch scores and players in spec modes?
as well as a few fixes to ATM and its display output perhaps (more like Nexgen stats called in from utstats.. only not reliant on utstats)
offtopic time: have you managed to complete the nexgen fix for that exploit yet bro?..
getting all paranoid once more about visiting misc servers and exposing details..

Actually, that spec-color config entry just modifies the color of the spec line on the scoreboard. Don't ask me why, this was one of my first projects and I admit i mostly added useless stuff.
Changing the say colors can be done clientside via XConsole I believe (?)

I just have a question about this mod. How do I make it show the name of the player holding the flag? Is this something that comes with SmartCTF or it's a different mod? I have everything running great on my server but I would like to have that also added to my server as well. Thanks for any feedback.

wierd points
hi folks
hope someone still here for help
i have a TDM server where i installed also CTF maps
all is good ,running nice but when starting CTF map with SMART CTF 4E version i have wierd points,as far as i saw if i suicide i get like a flag cap so if i suicide 5 times i have 5 caps
does anyone know from where that comes from?
btw is there any SMART CTF debug mode to see why it let the suicide as a cap?

That's pretty odd. As far as I can see, the only time SmartCTF ever updates the 'Captures' field for any player is when the SmartCTF class receives a MutatorBroadcastLocalizedMessage, where the third parameter (Message) is of type 'CTFMessage'.
And only the CTFGame class appears to send messages of this variety (EDIT: when a capture occurs, I should say)
Are you running any other mods that might interact with SmartCTF?
