Hello there,
I'm using the UT3 Windows Dedicated Server Package for an online server (from a remote location), and I understand that it too can be used as a Dedicated LAN service too, so I downloaded/installed and updated to my local server box and used the same string as my online server however using another GameSpy login, and what I thought would work, using the LAN feature in the string.
The problem is that it does not want to show up in the LAN Servers in the game's own server browser, It does however occasionally show up in the Online listing, but causes the server to crash a lot when joining it. I can direct IP Connect to it and it works perfectly, but I want it to show in the LAN list (for simplicity reasons at LAN Parties)
Here are some of the various combinations/things I've tried
-Changing ?bIsLanMatch=True > False
-Changing ?bShouldAdvertise=True > False
-Changing ?bIsDedicated=True > False
-Changing Stun Server Address to local box IP (including port) (least I don't get NAT Is Strict now
.. )
-Using -lanplay towards the end of the string
-Removing Stun Server Address all together
-Port Forwarding, both Windows Firewall and Modem/Router (even used DMZ)
So my question is: What settings in the Startup String or server config should be used to Dedicate the server to LAN + for it to show in the LAN list using the \...\Documents\...\...\UTGame\Config directory?
