EUT sPackages and Actors

Dunno if you guys can help but friend got a copy of EUT but didnt get the read me or whatever but all i need to know what the server packages is and the actors

EUT is a private Anticheat.

I got my hands on a Copy about 7-8 months ago, and it was hilarious. I had people threatening to crash my servers, and Hard ban my Clan's Tag in next version, and all kinds of crap.

Then the author said he had a backdoor in it, becuase I guess the Mod could control the server Remotely or something.

I'm Sure Leebe or Sard or Monk or one of the EUT Police will come around soon

Also don't you think it is rude to ask in a forum which it's owner visits regulary (being a UTPure admin too)?

Ignore Baiter too, he likes to jump on any thread in which EUT is mentioned for some reason; obviously still sour about not being able to use it.

Just learn to respect authorship, why is that a hard concept to grasp?

Sorry to say, Gina was raving about my player list databases, scanners, web page searches, live searches, etc that I have been running for a nice 5 years now. She was brought on board a scant 2 weeks ago i think.

Everything was happy and dandy between all of us until totally out of the blue yesterday she blamed me, donut and andromeda of messing with her servers. I wont say much, but it wasnt fun to see or hear about. Donut is the most courteous, curious, & humble admin in UT that I have ever worked with and we have known each other for years. Andro has been FABULOUS helping us out with all his knowledge and time.

That co-existance was the shortest one I have ever had and I have never had anyone, that wanted to be managed through my software, ever leave unless they were giving up their server in all these years...

I dont get it but I have read these forums and understand some more... but anyway - moving along... No wars please.

I would love some good anti-cheat for 4.32+ clients for Haleys HotHouse. UTDC has been fabulous at RedStars and Donut (as brief as I got to see its use at RedStars), but I hear it still remains a 4.36+ client only.

Will EUT handle this dilemma?

I admit my crowd is a noobie crowd and half of them dont know about patching UT. And we cater to them and modem users. No downloads unless necessary. No custom maps. I believe it is what keeps Haleys Hothouse popular.

Well of course i do but all those version have alot of bugs and not worth running.

It's been a while since I've played at the HotHouse, but I've usually always seen your servers at max capacity. I don't think you would really lose that many players over such a small issue (patching that is). The ASC Lite/Regular editions can help you out if you did decide to upgrade. You can make it pop open a window that a client must confirm (and they never see again until you change it's content). My advice would be to install UTDC 17, then add the ASC LITE and make it popup a MOTD window with lines about requirements to play on the server (must be 436+, visit website at xxx.com to download the patch, must confirm UTDC install before entering the server).


There are many other options as well. Look into them
(cause let's face it, if you're not stopping the hook, you might as well give up on protection!)

no i lost a lot of my crowd when i used an old version of nbsp and utdc and discovered this.

Alot of regulars too.

All that's available for 4.32 is uscript protection I'm afraid.
