Really rocking page
Got a lot out of it...server as service and logo and so on.

BTW: I talked to a guy from the UK when we had a war, He said that most servers in the UK have 50 in tick on their TDM servers!! I´ve red that more then 25 in tick will screw up the wepons balance. Mini/Pulse and so on will get 2ce as powerful that sucked and I tried to explain to him...but he just did not listen. I do have right on this subject right?? wepon balance screwup?.

cheers :gulp:

Most TDm servers at 50 is laughable.
Basically tickrate goes liek this

20 = epic recommened and gives good speed for all players

<25 = 56k players start to lag

<30 = isdn people start to lag.

So a 50 tickrate = lpbs only. If you want your server to appeal to everyone then 20 is the best.

If your running on linux though the tickrate is unstable i.e. a 20 tickrate is anything between 15 and 20 so its best to set it about 5 higher

:notworthy: So I should lower my tick to 20 then?

Gonna try that when I get home..bad if it´s laggy even for modem players. But there´s not that meny Modem ppl who play on my server anyways. Can Cable react to higher tick if u are from UK and play on my server..can it help if I lower to 20 then? or is it just ordinary lag?

Goin home now anyways...

The higher the tickrate the more cpu and bandwidth is used and the faster the serve rprocesses data.
So the above is only a general gudie to what is generally best for players. Some of the luck 56kers can cope with a 25 tick rate quite easily.
But, in reality it is best to experiment and ask players that play on your server what they think is best

the Dll file was "msvcp60.dll"

cus I did not have that on the server computor
I thought that I´ll try to copy that to the system32 folder because the F-Deamon would not start without it. And when I did that it worked. Now I have a server in the background as I wanted, works best that way it seams Because the server is not that sencitive now as it was earlier when I had a ordinary UCC started..then my GF could not even surf the web without huge lagg. And now the server starts every time when the comp is started!! NICE

thx 2 U guys :notworthy:
