My brother just played it. WOW -- what a disappointment!

This has nothing to do with UT1. The weapons look like shit.. some sci-fi crap, the game is very confusing.. the map HeatRay or something, very dark and moody... yuck, yuck, yuck! We set everything to highest detail.. and it didn't look anywhere near as nice as the early screenshots.

Now I must say I never played UT2003, UT2004.. so I can't tell how much it differs from those titles, but its nothing like the original UT.

If you had played them, you would have known that 2003 and 2004 were nothing like the original. Did you honestly expect UT3 to be the same as UT? We already have UT, what would be the point of making an exact copy of that game?

Not an exact replica, but an improved UT. Better graphics, better bots etc. This UT3 has nothing on UT. Ok it's a shooting game... there end the similarities.

It is an improved UT. Graphics are way better. Of course, that depends on your computer and video card. I have mine running at 1680*1050 resolution with no problems at all. For you to say that it has nothing on the original UT is totally wrong. Keep in mind all the custom maps, mods, skins, voice pks and weapons came later. This is stuff that was created by the UT community and not EPIC. This is how every UT version has been released with stock weapons and maps. It will take some time for the community to start modding new stuff.

Keep in mind that if you don't have a good system, your not going to see all the great detail. You can also use a physX card with this game if you have one for even greater detail.
