Congrats, Azazel & Bry.
It's as if the tablets have come down from the mountain top. :O
IMHO the ID based banning is the single best feature I've heard of.

Good, smart questions for Server Admins too. Well done.
I wouldn't mind a bit of explanation of the server cd thing though ...for example I run my 5 servers off one install with different INIs ...will this work with UT2k3...that sort of thing.

In his interview he mentions about the free dedicated server install which most admins use for UT at the moment.
He also mentions you being able to receive a dedicated server key for that so I reckon you just apply for 5 keys then

Congrats guys, everything was nicely done
Im glad one of my question was answered by DrSin. IMO, that was the less interesting of them
Next target... Sr. Rein :p
Idea: What you people think of making a list of facts and rumors about UT2K3?
Cheers

its nice to start hearing some good numbers and specifics, good article. I'm looking foward to trying out this rewritten web admin tool. I'm assuming the admin tool is server platform indendant.

If you think the idea about a FAQ document on UT2K3 is interesting, take some time to check this FAQ out. Im not sure how it is yet. Its pretty long and i gotta work now :p
Enjoy it

I will probably convert the interview and other bits into one big FAQ tonight, time obviously permitting as it needs a lot of time putting in.

Just one point I would like clarification on if anyone can answer this...
Quote:
DrSin: I'd say specs and information will be posted to the UT Server admins list as well as the typical forums.
|
Where can the server admins amongst us get signed up in the "UT Server Admins" list DrSin mentioned?
I am a part of the CSHP Admins ONLY forum over at Midnight Interactive, and have registered here as well. We at UnrealMachine are anxiously awaiting any and all information to assist us in setting up our UT2K3 servers.
Anyone here that can help shed some light on this?

Thank you Azazel! I've sent the email. I already get a deluge of email for bugtrack and a few other such sites. A little more won't hurt.
