Request forum for programming
Hi,
I have a small suggestion.
How about having a forum where programming can be regrouped in one place ? This way, it would be easier to find information about new projects and learn tricks from other admins or programmers. Something a bit like Cruickys Lab but open to everything.
What do you think of the idea ?

And that's probably why UTIII was a relative flop. New game, same sh*thead players ^^.

How about, programming lessons? That way we can get newbies started off and help people. I would certainly like to start coding, but I don't have a clue where to start

There are already Unreal-related programming forums at BUF and Epic Forums. Do you want to spread out potentially interested users even more? It's already annoying to answer a question on one forum, only to find out it's been answered on another forum already. If UA.org opened their own programming forum, one would have to monitor yet another forum for post duplication.

Isn't that what's already happening except posts are diluted among the different forums ? Or do you mean UA should stick to the subject of servers ?

That's exactly what I think he means. Since BUF and Epic already cover those subjects. Keeping UA to only server administrating.

Beyonunreal programming forum:

Epic Games programming forum seems to be for UT2k4 and UT3, there wasn't one for UT. At least I didn't see one.

Those forums are probably imported from INA/Atari which closed the UT1 forums down when they severed ties with Epic.

Still, there's a Coding forum on BuF and it definitely also answers UT1-related questions, as you already know.
