Default RPC Buffer overload

Hi guys,
wonder if anyone can help me out please
Run a ctf 3.4 tac ops server - all going fine then suddenly everyone experienced major packetloss before being kicked. It shows in log file rpc buffer overload loads of times. Is this an attack or a technical problem ?
Anyone know what I can do to try and stop it happening again ?
