Default [Release] 2k4Sounds v1.0

Code:
1) What is it?
--------------

2k4Sounds is a mod that will replace certain in-game sounds by the ones loaded
from the voicepack you install on your server.


2) What does it do?
-------------------

2k4Sounds can:

1. Dynamicaly load a voicepack
2. Replace the following ingame sounds:
	* Spree sounds (killing spree, rampage,...)
	* Combo sounds (double kill, multi kill,...)
	* Time sounds (30 seconds left, 10, 9, 8,...)
	* Headshot sound
	* Firstblood sound
3. Broadcast combo's to everyone on the server (similar to MonsterAnnouncer)

!!! IMPORTANT: 2k4Sounds will NOT work if you don't install a voicepack
!!! You can find several voicepacks at:
!!!	http://utgl.unrealadmin.org/2k4Sounds/
!!! or you can make your own packs...

3) Installation
---------------

To install 2k4Sounds on your server:

1. Unzip the contents of this zip package in your server's system folder. 

2. Choose the voicepack you want to use and unzip it to your server's sound folder.

3. Open your server's unrealtournament.ini file and find the line that reads "[Engine.GameEngine]".

4. Add these lines under it:

    ServerActors=2k4Sounds.SoundsActor
    ServerPackages=2k4Sounds
    ServerPackages=<Insert the name of your voicepack here (without the .uax)>
    
5. Move to the end of your UT.ini file and add these lines 
   (you can find the explanation of the settings under 4) Settings):    
    
    [2k4Sounds.SoundsMutator]
    VoicePack=<Insert the name of your voicepack here (without the .uax)>
    bComboSounds=true
    bSpreeSounds=true
    bHeadshotSound=true
    bFirstbloodSound=true
    bTimeSounds=true
    bAnnounceCombos=true
    
6. Restart your server

4) Settings
-----------

bComboSounds	 : set this to false if you don't want to replace the combo sounds
bSpreeSounds	 : set this to false if you don't want to replace the spree sounds
bHeadshotSound	 : set this to false if you don't want to replace the headshot sound
bFirstbloodSound : set this to false if you don't want to replace the firstblood sound
bTimeSounds	 : set this to false if you don't want to replace the time sounds
bAnnounceCombos	 : set this to false if you don't want to broadcast the combo's
		   (similar to MonsterAnnouncer)
 
5) History
----------

there's a good chance that there's some bugs in it cause most (if not all) of what it does is a hack

good work,i love it!

looks like i've found some minor bugs (they only occur when 2k4sounds active):

the first 2 problems occur ONLY when PLAYING AGAINST BOTS:
1.) in CTF: if u make a headshot on a bot carrying the flag, then instead of throwing it,the flag respawns with the bot (only when u kill with headshot..if u kill other ways then doesn't)
2.) sometimes when u make a headshot on a bot, it doesn't die but says 'headshot' and u can kill 2nd time too, leading to 'double kill'.Then it finally dies

the last i've found (and this happens playing vs real players,not bots too):sometimes the time announcer stays the original or u hear double announce (original+2k4 too) and doesn't work with mapvote-countdown

hope it's clear what I was trying to say.

this seems to be some spawnprotection conflict (using eavyspawnnolog)

I've had this in the betatest too, took me a while to get rid of those original announcer sounds. Are you trying to run this on a listenserver or something cause actually it should be gone

.u works too, the only thing that really matters is the name of the sounds, you can see the syntax if you open one of the soundpackages with wotgrealexporter

The Idea of this Mutator is Friggin Wonderful and Excellent, but right now, its entirely too buggy to put on a Server. Especially with bots on them

players complain that with 2k4sounds enabled, SmartCTF scoring system doesn't show the right score/frag+covermessages

well to be honest, I did everything to maintain compatibility with other mods. If this is indeed the case it's because SmartCTF does things 2k4sounds also does or SmartCTF does things it shouldn't do.

if you're running SmartCTF and 2k4sounds then disable these SmartCTF settings:

i disabled smartctf,and the bot problems+double announcement still occur

EDIT: i mean double announcement for time announce

you're probably running a hudmutator that breaks the hudmutator chain. Try disabling all hud-addons like logothingies etc
