1. Can they prove it's the name of their servers ?
2. Is the name of thier servers registered with a domain registrar? If it is, then you could be forced to give it up. If it isn't Id register the name , then you'd hve better standing than them.( just a thought if you follow )
3.As for it being a name involved with a different game entirely, it shouldn't matter, unless they in FACT have to named regsitered as I stated above.
4. Otherwise, don't worry about it and tell them to just kiss your ass.

Make your server name unique from theirs. How big is your community? If you have only a few (10-15) members, you could change your clan and server name with little difficulty. If you have a larger following or just don't want to do this, you can use special characters in your server name (such as *,§,Ñ,Ü,¥,♣, etc etc).
Or just don't worry about it. Chances are you'll never have an issue with it at all.
You could always request that if they start up a UT server that they use a different name (such as House1000's VCTF Mayhem)

That's the problem when clans move from one game to another... if someone already has the name, what do you do? We at |KOA| just found out fairly recently that a Quake clan using the (KOA) tag and the same "Kampers of America" name has started playing UT99 Deathmatch. I even got an e-mail from their clan leader, but it's all good, since they play DeathMatch and we play StrangeLove. Hopefully you can just work out the issue with the clan leader / server admin of that other clan. Honestly, they should back down on the issue, since you were on UT99 first and they're coming in from a different game.

You'd have to ask Avenger... but you know, honestly, it's not that uncommon for letter replacement to differentiate a word from commonality.
Example: Mortal Kombat

There's also a "HouseOf1000Corpses" ut2k4 server. been around a long time.
or is that who you are talking about already? sorry.
I don't know if you can really 'own' a server name unless you have a registered business under that
name maybe.

If you own a domain name, then you should tell the other people that you own the domain, that you were on UT first, and they should respect your right to your name on this particular game.

If you really wanted to persue it, you could whois their domain and contact their registrar and file a complaint -- you could claim that it was a malicious registration on their part.

Well, if someone registers a domain name for the sole purpose of pissing you off or diverting / confusing traffic, or if they simply register the name with the pre-knowledge that you already have a similar name and a similar purpose (i.e. a game server), you have legal standing to demand the registrar invalidate their domain name and possibly turn it over to you. However, you'd have to prove they were being malicious and trying to piss you off... and they might not take you seriously anyway, just considering that we're talking about Unreal Tournament games here and not multi-billion dollar corporations.

Yes - houseof1000corpses.com is not the same as having Microsouft.com
As I said before - the best thing for you to do will be to ignore it (to be honest)
