Nope, still no love.
Seems to start, and then exit without any real errors.
Nothing of note in the System/Application logs either.
Anyone got any other ideas?

I saw an interesting post on another forum about having VS.net installed, and it working.
Going to drop a copy onto our terminal server at work (where vs.net is installed) to see if there was any truth to it

I gave up trying to hack it to work on 2k3, I *hope* that's what wartourists post will give us.
For the meantime (*shudder*) I've installed the UT3 demo in an XP(32bit) instance in a VMWare machine.
Runs pretty well (doesn't seem to be multi-threaded), and pays *no* attention to the maxplayers directive (I set it at 32, there are currently 48 players on the server).
Memory requirements seem reasonable (250Mb for a '32' player server, and it's maxing out a single Xeon 3.2 - in VMWare at anyrate)

I had to do the same (VMware+XP).
How did you get it to register with the master server?
-login:username -password:pass command line parameters?
How does one register for that, if he doesn't have the game itself and can't run it, but can only run the command-line dedicated server?

I (cheated?) registered a username/password by running the demo on my Vista box here, and use those credentials on the dedicated server.
BTW - it's worthwhile subscribing to the UT3 UDN mailing list (wartourist made a post about this not so long ago), so that you can keep up to date with the goings on in the UT3 world.
On another note, are you finding that your dedicated server is recieving (considerably) more players than you allowed for in the NumPublicConnections directive in the server startup?
My box (which this value is set at 32) is currently showing 40 players.
EDIT, if need be, PM me and I'll create another profile on my vista box here that you can use.
Oh, and vis registration with the master server - yours probably has, but if it's full, it doesn't seem to show on the server list. Mine fills up within about 30 seconds of being live...could be that? You can always force a connection by doing ut3demo.exe <serverip>:<serverport> on your local machine

That's all you did? No copying of profile files/folders? Or INI file editing?
(on the ded. server side)
Keeps saying:
"Failed to register game with online service. Registering as a LAN match"
for me...

I think I already had a gamespy account with the same credentials, so not sure if that 'helped'
Out of interest, has anyone actually managed to get it to run on 2k3 as yet?
I have seen a couple of threads on the epic forums that seem to imply that, but no one has confirmed one way or the other.
Or are we just gritting our teeth and waiting for a 'proper' dedicated server release from Epic?

this fix did work for me now after reinstalling the game so do .net2, permissions change and the new .exe and it will let you run a dedicated server in win2k3, having trouble getting a second server running now...Keeps logging people back into the first one I made..Even though it shows in browser albeit in deathmatch and has a vctf map up yet still brings you into the first server I made.

On your second server, just add this to the command line: -port=5555. You may have to remove the "=" sign. I can't remember which way I put it in my command line. I was able to get two servers up and running like this. Multihome doesn't seem to be working at the moment. Also, you don't have to use port 5555, pick any port that works for you. Hope this helps.

I'm running two servers on the same machine using multihome. I am not reporting to master server for listing, though.
The -multihome option "works" and performs what action it should (it is binding my servers to their respective IP) but it does not report the IP to the master server. Appears to be a bug.
