Default UTStats Admin Page Ideas

Current List ...
  • Opening page shows stats .. number of match/player records, database size etc (done)
  • Option to delete a match (done)
  • Option to delete a player from a match (done)
  • Option to delete a player completely (done)
  • Option to reset a players stats (pointless, not done)
  • Option to "merge" player records (done)
  • Option to "merge" servers (done)
  • Option to view playerips (done)
  • Option to empty database (done)
  • Option to add "banned players" (not done)
  • Option to define ranking parameters (not done)
  • Option to upload a screenshot for a match (not done)

Any other ideas?

Stuff done will be released with Beta4.

After seeing a total servercrash at my host, I see the need for an easy way to backup the database. Like an option to download the db as a file, and restore the db from a file.

The database is in MySql, so you can easily do a dump (from command-line) to file, or backup the database with a tool such as phpmyadmin.

Yes I know. But in phpmyadmin there are options to check, and choices to make. I dont know much about those things.

There are allready options to empty the db and delete temp tables, which can also be done using phpmyadmin. I just think it would be great to have the neccessary tools to maintain the db on the admin page.

agree with some kind of easy backup too

also maybe something to make the merging of a server more permanent like what can be done with “Add/Edit Game Types” … if XYZ is seen call it ABC or what ever … I’m not sure if it’s a bug or why it happens but I need to merge the server once or twice a week even tho it’s the same server appearing under another name ?

another one i wondered about was if "super web admin" info could be logged in the same manner as utdc info is ( no biggy if not ) i just thought the info of XYZ admin kick / or bann a person maybe worth while ... making it easier than looking through a whole server log

admin who did it
person kicked or bann
reason if one … as super web admin allows for a reason

about servers/merging:

1) I have the same problem, sometimes the same server with the same name appears twice. I found out that on the 2nd entry the IP is missing, only the Port was recognized (e.g: server1: 123.123.123.123:7777, server2: :7777)

2) my servername changes when changing gametype (different prefixes like [PURE], [CSHP], stdAS|, iAS|,...). So I have to merge the servers again and again. can't it somehow save the merging info for future matches or just merge all server that have same IP-Port?

1) Thats when the server doesn't show its ip correctly and why we made the server merger

2) Stop the addons amending your servername and the problem goes away

Default No Server IP Fix

Hi I had the same problem of server ip not showing so I did this to fix it.

A good way to fix this problem is to put your server ip on one of the message of the day lines in "UnrealTournament.ini"
Example "MOTDLine4=x.x.x.x"

Then edit "import.php"
find the line "$qm_serverip = small_query("SELECT col3 FROM uts_temp_$uid WHERE col1 = 'info' AND col2 = 'True_Server_IP'");"

change the part with "True_Server_IP" to "Server_MOTDLine4"

so it should look like this.
$qm_serverip = small_query("SELECT col3 FROM uts_temp_$uid WHERE col1 = 'info' AND col2 = 'Server_MOTDLine4'");

Worked a treat for my server. now whatever you put on the MOTD line will always import as the server ip.

Is it possible to create a button in the player list that adds players to the watchlist
It's a lot of clicks if you want to add al the members in the watchlist (we got like over 90 members LOL)

I've got quite a large list of players on my server. And after a few weeks it became very hard to merge players.

I'd like to see a simple link which will create a list with all duplicate IP addresses (so an IP which is used by two or more players.) Which should make it a litle easier to merge player stats

another idea it's not ipmortant but usful...could we split the words from the code, in that way anyone could use UTstats with his own lang..and who finish translate send a copy to you and be in zip file..what you think about that?

Merging players is a hard and useless job. Who needs the statistics most: a player or an admin ? I think the best way to prevent players from using multiple nick names (and admins from doing useless job) is to set a minimal amount of played games (hours, frags, whatever) before player becomes visible in statistics.

From a sniper server standpoint have the effectiveness be able to be configured. It was a pain to find the EFF assignments and I still don't think I have them all since the Player page shows and eff of 0.00 and a total of something over 100....LOL

Since I'm the last poster here....I'll add instead of making a new post.

What about a bulk match delete page and multiple player merge ability.

Hi i know this is a old topic.

But still gone ask it here.
I use utstats on my page /server.I run a BT server 2 of them to be precise.
Is there a possebility to add captime in the stats.it does count the caps because i run in as ctf game.So i would think it would be cool to add the mod totaly to utstats and add captime in it.

hope to hear something soon.

You mean some sort of fastcap integration? I've done it on the cwl site, might as well add it to the stats system soon:

"Fastest cap: 5.709 seconds by tjen, on 27 July 2007" @ http://cwlserver.net/detailmap.php?mapid=93

This is only the fastest cap per map tho. I think it's possible to modify fastcap to record every captime, the source is in the package.
