Default can't see server in favorites (and master list)

Hi,
I actually have an annoying problem with my UT99 Linux server (from GameServers hosting).
The server is up and running but I can't see it in my favorites and in the master list, it's online but it appears offline. Moreover, also the web admin stopped working.
Someone on GameServers forums said to disable the NgWorldStats feature but this had no effect.

I changed the UnrealTournament.ini file according these values but nothing happened, same problem.
Technical service from GameServers says something is causing server to jump ports or is trying to bind to the same port as the query port but I used the same server config on a previous hosting server some months ago (Windows server) and I never had this type of problems. I'm not the only one having this issue so it's difficult thinking about some mods or mutators can cause this problem as people set their servers with their mods/mutators.
Any ideas ?

gameserver people helped me

please ask this guy to help you

It's nothing to do with ngstats. God, some hosts really astound me at lack of knowledge...if that was me I would leave them.

Anyhow onto the solution. You need to make sure the uplink is set.

About the WebAdmin:

Check if 'ServerActors=UWeb.WebServer' is in place and whether it is enabled:

[UWeb.WebServer]
Applications[0]=UTServerAdmin.UTServerAdmin
ApplicationPaths[0]=/ServerAdmin
Applications[1]=UTServerAdmin.UTImageServer
ApplicationPaths[1]=/images
DefaultApplication=0
ListenPort=8080

Otherwise, it might also be a port-forwarding/router firewall issue, but since its a rented server, its unlikely.

Actually skip gamehosts altogether and rent a cheap VPS.. you get more enjoyment from it and have 100% power over what you can/not do without having to consult *Techies* every 5 Mins..

couple of ++'s are..;

1.) Total Control
2.) 2-3 Servers
3.) Self-Managed Player-Slots
4.) Access from anywhere.

Actually (but I think only temporarily), GameServers technical service solved the problem so the server is now displayed in server browser. They said me again a service (?) caused the port bind conflict and they advice to check out all mutators/mods added, one by one...uff
The same config worked fine on other Windows server so the problem, in some way, is related to GameServers Linux servers.

Thanks for the advices but the guys whom I play with decided to rent a new Windows server from another hosting service so I'm going to face other and new problems

Actually Sony, I can confirm this. Enabling of the stats causes any of my home servers I used to run to jump ports (if they were running monsterhunt). Also, it's not just a linux issue, my server box is XP pro.

This is a specific error and P was given the right advice to null out the stats section like he did. Very few people would encounter this problem and I appreciate your incredulity but it will indeed cause the problems in the original post. It's something in the MH gametype causing the conflict and I never bothered to figure it out because the fix was just easy.

Either the forums cut off the rest of your post or you're not getting the entire log. That's just a clip of the log.

Start your game server, let it run for a few minutes (to make sure it fully loads everything) then shut it back down. Check the log then as it should write everything to the log at this point.

What script are you using to start/stop the server? Does it rotate the logs anywhere?

there is an issue with gameservers as well if you have any logging enabled in ut.ini sometimes the server will crash and run a second process. then you have to contact gs and tell them to kill the hung process. what happens is the query port changes.

get rid of gs and use nfoservers much better imo. or do as sony does and rent your own box.
