Uff: I forgott im in an englisch forum.

O.K. here the translation:

For Win today the new final UT2004 patch 3204 was released. In the readme stand all fixes. One ist the fix for the linux server with the CacheRecords.ucl. Also the patch must work for linux servers. But i can´t find the linux version of the patch. Someone here knows a link?

Or must i easylie extract the win patch in an empty directory and copy this files to the server? But i can be that the patch is only to install in the main UT directory, or?

Plz. help. Thx.

... 3204beta for linux - but as 3204beta for windows became the release i think it will be the same for linux. allready got it running it and feels really stable. maybe someone allready knows if utsec110 is still needed? as far as i read dr sin wanted to release a new version as the utsec stuff got removed from the first beta?

I never use UT Secure, i only use Antitcc. The new version 113 witch ist downloadable since yesterday. In this version the problem between patched clients and old server versions is gone.[/u]

Still waiting for it here.

My host won't accept a beta patch, and nobody on my team can connect to our server since they've all patched.

Since the windows patch is 'official', might anyone have an idea as to when the linux patch will follow suit (go non-BETA)?

i think the best idea is to ask ryan directly on the icculus mailinglist - i got the beta patch now running on two servers and also on one client here - no problems or instability at all.

And the server seems pretty happy. Sure - it's only been about 12-14 hrs, but no errors at all.

This is what I get in my log after installing all of the files for the Linux 3204B beta patch, by way of FTP.

I just restarted my testbed server and saw a number of these msgs.

[code:1:46b8dc8ce3]
Attempting to reconnect to master server
Resolving ut2004master1.epicgames.com...
MasterServerUplink: Resolved ut2004master1.epicgames.com as 207.135.145.6.
MasterServerUplink: Connection to ut2004master1.epicgames.com established.
Approval UNKNOWN_CDKEY
Master server connection failed
Master server connection failed
[/code:1:46b8dc8ce3]

However, after about 10 minutes the "Approval UNKNOWN_CDKEY" changed to:

[code:1:46b8dc8ce3]
Approval APPROVED
Master server requests heartbeat 0 with code 21376
Master server requests heartbeat 1 with code 21376
Master server requests heartbeat 2 with code 21376
Master server assigned our MatchID: 0
[/code:1:46b8dc8ce3]

Since my MatchID is 0, I believe that the server isn't being registered w/the masters? I've told the server not to advertise itself publicly.

Are you sure you actually patched the server with 3204 beta? The lines which read:
[code:1:2cb1e32f2d]
Init: Version: 3186 (127.29)
Init: Compiled: Mar 4 2004 03:07:41
[/code:1:2cb1e32f2d]
cause me to question it. My patched server puts this into ucc.log:
[code:1:2cb1e32f2d]
Init: Version: 3204 (127.29)
Init: Compiled: May 11 2004 02:25:12
[/code:1:2cb1e32f2d]

$0.02 worth.
