I can give you a whole full access SSH account for UT, to hell with that FTP only stuff, on a server located in NY on 100mbit for that price or even less, as my going rate is around $30 a month for 24 slot CSS servers, and UT uses far less resources then those SRCDS memory/cpu hogs, as I own a few boxes in a NY datacenter. I don't care about how many slots, or if its public or not, as long as its reasonable on resources. Teamspeak and redirect downloads can be provided too.
Check out unreal://ut.spykes.net to see how you ping to it, thats my personal UT server.

spykes: NY datacenter interests me, and most we'd ever use is 16 slots (we're actually thinking of cutting down to 14 as a "usual" number, honestly). Give me a price and some specs.

2 boxes are 2.8ghz HT P4's with 1GB ram, the last one is a 3.06ghz P4 HT with 2GB ECC registered ram. The last one is way underutilized at the moment. All on 100mbit ethernet.
How's $25 a month sound? 16 slots + specs, public, full access SSH with FTP, 500mb webspace storage for your redirects and website (if you wish), and teamspeak. $5 more a month will get you a full webhosting/email package as well if you perfer that.
You pay monthly tho, I'm never one to lock anyone into contracts for 6 months, as then they can always go elsewhere if they aren't happy.
PM me if you're still interested. I'll set you up and then send you the invoice.

500 MB is not gonna be enough for my redirect, ... we have perhaps double that in total maps, mods, textures, music, sounds, etc...

Dave, I think you would be better off just purchasing a box of your own. Saves you money in the long run, plus you could host servers for others, perhaps filling your unemployment?
Spykes offer seems best fit, pending the space. But I don't know if you even know what SSH is. If he gives you two gigs of space, then it would be a good deal.

Yes I know what SSH is Toker, . Use it all the time.
Renting my own server in a datacenter might be a cool idea, but since I'm unemployed, I'd have to know others would donate / pay to get on it... might be a cool idea for AU as a whole, but then again, one of the advantages of the fact that we have multiple server hosts for multiple clans is that the servers are spread out so people can always find a good ping, and so that if one host is DoS'd or goes down or whatever then there's other servers.
I honestly don't know if I'd want to get into trying to host servers myself, although I have thought about it in the past.
And yeah, spykes... I'd need a good 1.5 GB at least for the server and for the equivalent redirect (3 GB total). And, of course, webhosting and e-mail would be nice because that's hosted by our current game server provider as well.

Heh, i'm always flexible... if you want 2gb of storage you can have it as I have plenty of disk space on the boxes. You get 5gb space anyways if you want a full webhost account.
