Default UTPure7E bad TD(time dilation) issue w/custom maps?

I was wondering if anyone getting this with Pure7E. I made a map and within the editor, under LEVEL INFO,TIME DILATION, I changed the default 1.0000 to 4.0000 (4 secs?) so my map info would be displayed longer. I guess Pure doesn't like this?

Here is the message from the server's UCC log('connection failed' on client side):

DevNet: Join succeeded: U2K|MR.KEWL1©
UTPure: 2004-08-17 03:45.25 UTPureCheat: U2K|MR.KEWL1© (My IP) had an impurity (TD - Bad TimeDilation!)
NetComeGo: Close TcpipConnection10 08/17/04 03:45:25

Is there a pure ini setting i can change for Pure to allow this on the server, and why is it treated as a client cheat when its within the server map itself?

Thanks for any info.

I've players kicked for the same message, don't know what is the real problem.

I think the time dilation message means that UTPure possibly misidentified someone as using a speed hack. This and shadow settings are a problem on some custom maps.

And that's probably why UTIII was a relative flop. New game, same sh*thead players ^^.

Default UTPure 7e doesn't like maps with 4.000000 Time Dilation

Ok, I opened the map in the editor and changed level properties, Level Info, Time Dilation back to the default 1.000000, renamed the map and uploaded to the redirect and wow, no "Connection Failed" message. Just as I suspected. Has nothing to do with "speed hacks" it is within the map itself when it was created, TD sets the time in seconds that the map info is displayed for players, the "DM-Bar, author: some dude, player load 10-15" message you see when you first enter a map while playing. I guess I just have to leave the setting to the default when I make maps, unless someone has a fix for it?

The fix suggested by TNSe is to edit the map like you have done. He said something along the lines of, "some map authors use odd properties".

Default What's wrong w/map info displaying more than a second?

I don't see the problem of having map info displayed longer than just 1 second, I mean the option is there in the map editor for a reason.
I've never had this before with custom maps, until 7E.

Is there anyway to suppress the TD impurity message itself, without suppressing all Pure messages?

Hey, isn't Pure supposed to stop CLIENT SIDE cheating? The map is on the server side right?

Altering the TimeDilation variable does more than just allow your map info to be displayed longer, and is not the purpose of that setting. It will affect many areas of gameplay for that map for everyone.

The map is also on the client is it not?

TimeDilation basically is the overall game speed. Game speed mismatches between client and server (that's what UTPure is reporting here) will cause all kinds of problems.

Default Still a little confused.

Isn't gamespeed set in the UT.ini?
[Engine.GameInfo]
bLowGore=False
bNoCheating=True
bExternalBatcher=False
AutoAim=0.930000
GameSpeed=1.650000 <----

If the server has a map running with a TD of 4.000000, and a client downloads the map from that server, how could there be a mismatch? Both have the same map running right?

I changed all my custom maps back to the default TD 1.000000, of course I had to rename them before I uploaded to avoid conflicts with the redirect,
which I would hope everyone renames the maps they have changed. You know the well disliked "version mismatch" players often get.
