Creating a ut99 voice pack
I have made a couple of voice packs but have always used unreal editor. such as described here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/929907-to...eal/faqs/21602
Problem with this is once you close the editor you can no longer make any changes. There is no code in the .u file, just all the sound files. Is there a way to make the voice pack with uscript only so it can be saved and go back and edit it as needed? If so does anyone have a tutorial?

Try looking at VoiceMale or other Voice* classes in BotPack.u. That may give you a start.

Your VP can easily call to a sound package and not a compiled U which you can change until you are happy. You'll need to hard code the actual references the first time though, or you will still need to version forward if you release it.

I am going to attempt something along the lines of the "Zounds" mod for 2k4,
Where the SAY= (or pressing T ingame) triggers a sound,
For example if yout type "Hello" then the mod will trigger a set sound for that message.
I am going to get started on that once ive finished the mod im currently working on (Custom HUD & SB for my servers), but ill have a look at how the Zounds Mod works and see if 99 can cope with something along those lines.

We are having this exact discussion on my forum about creation of a server VP. Can I consider this permission to use your work and move forward with it? If you confirm that I'm going to make one tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'll use your work (I haven't looked at it) but one way or the other I'm going to make this for us.
[EDIT] Scratch that, your mod works flawlessly. Guys this *is* zounds for UT, exactly what I wanted to do. Get the first link, the second is source and the third is the earlier beta. I have server tested it and it's great work CPan.

I'm glad it will get some use, it has been sitting dormant on my FTP and in WotGreal since 2009. You can use the source and mash it up as needed.

The only other thing would be the Pheonix mutator modification I did after clan LOL disappeared called Resurrector. It stores ammo, health, frags, deaths, killcount, diecount and location of a player for sniper/camper style to help keep people from abusing the "oh I disconnected" excuse after they get pinned down in a spot. The diecount and killcount are for accuracy, UT counts each kill as 1 each death as 1 while the frags (Score) is modified by scoring mutator, this restores that kill/diecount and maintains that accuracy value until map restart.
