Thanks for the info wormbo. Usually when I get those, that player tries connecting again about 3 more times before giving up.

It's the game server generating the message, it's all to do with the Packages.md5 file and the server's internal security, trust me.

I just got one of those about an hour ago or so and I can confirm the local server only part. The person joined the game and was a spectator, then the error came up, and then he was gone. He did not get the chance to join the game. So yes, it is from the local server as they do get the chance to join and check packages.

Servers and even clients can generate the player ID hash themselves and it will always be the same for a given CD key.
