So far, the only thing I've been able to figure out is that UTPURE is an anti cheat.

Can someone point me to how to install it? Is there just a server side plugin or is it both client and server?

I can't seem to find a FAQ or anything like that. I'm getting errors when I run it on my server along the lines of it can't find some BOT reference.

Rather than just heap my problems onto the forums, I'd like to try to figure it out myself.

Any help is greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

did you look at the readme file that comes with it? it's installed server side, put the UTPureRC6E.u and .int files in the servers UT system folder and add these two lines to the ut.ini under

[Engine.GameEngine]

serveractors=UTPureRC6E.UTPureSA
serverpackages=UTPureRC6E

in order to use the skins from the bonus packs you'll have to add the BP1 and BP4 handlers.

Yep, I did that.

It gives me an error about BOTS not being able to be found. I'm not running any bots, so I have no idea where it is coming from.

I don't have access right now to get the exact error. But as soon as I do, I will cut/paste the error here.

Thanks!

You're missing the file "BotPack.u", reinstall ut and/or the patch

I just unpacked my dedicated 225 server download again. There is no BotPack.u file in it.

Where would I find it?

lmao. sorry, you gave me a good laugh. Version 2225 is UT2003, NOT Unreal Tournament. No offense, but if you don't know this, i wouldn't recommend you be a server administrator.

Thanks for the put down and forgive me for not being clear then.

FYI, I've run a DoD server for the last 2 years. Between my map downloads and forums, my website sees 100,000 hits a month. I'm not some dufus who is a n00b to how to handle things. I can do just about anything with HL, including writing plugins. So, I might be a n00b to UT, but I'm not an idiot.

I am finding that the getting information regarding UT server setup is nothing more than basic stuff that I've figured out on my own. A full indepth explanation on things can only be found by piece mealing things together.

To date, I still have no idea what the difference between UT, UT 2, and UT2K3 might be and it looks like I'm not going to find help on this here, either.

The only thing I can get out of your reply is that I have the wrong thing. Well, my download is entitled UT2003DedicatedServer2225.zip if that helps. And in it, there is no reference at all to Botpack.u

Are you saying that UTPURE doesn't run with UT2K3? You didn't elaborate on your answer.

I had a problem, I asked, I got an answer. I post that the file isn't there and I get put down

okay let's make a clear answer ;p

1/ there are several games : Unreal, UnrealTournament, UnrealTournament 2003 & Unreal 2, Unreal 2 doesn't have multiplayer yet, Unreal is quite out of date so we won't speak about them anymore

2/ UTPure can only be run on dedicated UnrealTournament ("99") servers. UT2003 gots his own protections with UTSecure, AntiTCC & co

3/ BotPack.u is the main file of UnrealTournament (original mods, mutators, etc ... are definied in it), for UT2003 it's xGame.u

got it ?
