In console type in:
mutate ace croosshairscale 1 ( where 1 is default ) Personally find 1.2 ideal but it comes down to screen, resolution and personal preference.

Attention i think ACE is not intended to become a factory gaz. Otherwise beware of bugs like NexGen.

Anth knows what he can do and what he cant
All things implemented in ACE are to correct bugs, no real "toys"

clique
I'm beginning to suspect that there is a clique in the [ACE] development.
Only the "little friends" of the developers have access to the beta...
thammy servers first, then the uk, combat arena, and now utassault, and no notice about the public release, just "sit down and wait"...
The excuse for this is to fix bugs, but bugs will never end...
Apparently, [ACE] will always be a closed anti-cheater.
Most administrators that post here are serious and committed people, and I believe you are underestimating the ability of others to contribute publicly with the new system.

Of course its atm closed to close admins that WE trust. As said previously, Anth dont want to make it public with bugs that will make it useless. This is closer to be realesed everyday. Now regarding how you're reacting, this is smth wich is done for free, wich cost a lot of time (and you know time is money). Please calm down and stop bullshiting.

you have no idea what you are on about, this is how things are tested and how the majority of bugs are found
theres been over a dozen revisions because of bugs or optimizations, why would anyone release anything without testing it first?
once Anth is happy with it he will release it, I dont think anyone wants him to release it unfinished

Reason has been given before, it's been closed in order to maintain the amount of updates server admins would have to endure of the countless builds there has been. From announced 0.6c to currently running 0.6m is a bitch to maintain, and imagine releasing it public back then it would just have went pancake.
As you've noticed, it has started out small to see if it works, then from standard gametypes to BunnyTrack > UTAssault in order to iron out the problems.
There is absolutely no intention of keeping ACE private, but can't blame Anth for wanting to keep the workload to a minimum and organized.

I agree with you Genecom. I could just imagine the number of "help" threads and posts if this was released before testing. Had he done so, I think most of Anth's time would have been spent here typing rather than fixing issues with ACE.
Good on you Anth, really appreciate what you are doing for UT99. Without support from people like you, UT would never have gotten this far.

I also understand why anth is not getting it public yet. Just immagine he would have released it at 0.6h just before he had to rewrite the complete feedback. Ill bet this topic would have been at page 35 because of the bugs and issue's people would post here.
I rather wait a bit longer for a version which still needs some bugfinding or small update's then having a version which i need to reinstall every week.

To be honest here i think a little bit more respect for the developer would be in order here. If you knew how much time he puts into it for FREE i would rather give the man a standing applaus instead of suggesting he will keep it private or for his personal friends. This is not the way to respond to someone who dedicated his free time for the ut community.
Respect for anth here.

Have a little bit more respect please. It is about bug finding. There have been some versions which have critical bugs, kicking everyone on sight for no reason with empty server for a whole day until I read my forum. You need to show some respect to Anth since he is doing this for free. Without Anth coding this AntiCheat, what other AntiCheat would you resort to?

Hi all,
First of all i would like to apologize if i've looked aggressive. I can assure you that was not my intention. I am working on some GPL projects and also do it without earn no money, just because I'm happy to help others. I'm questioning the criteria used as selection of beta testers wich that can be easily interpreted as a clique.
If you look at my previous posts, you will see that any system also can be published as an alpha, look to other systems like wine.. 10 years in alpha, a lot of bugs, but wine dev team are not afraid to support users, and any change are published to community. People reporting errors are normal, filtering bugs its really valid... No matter how hard you work in development, when you publish, there will be many posts with error reportings and Its a good thing.
If you're afraid to support, my advice is, do not publish, never.
If you decide to publish, do it for community not for a half-dozen affortunates
At all, "brazil server" (terra dm) is ready to help in tests and feedback any issue.

Well, the clique was initially trusted admins, which quite a few cover most servers & pickups hosted by projectfrag.
Reason for keeping it within projectfrag was that we run a wast amount on different servers, gametypes and have a very loyal and large variaty of players from all over the globe.
Apart from that if only a handful admins manage the show it's very easy to structure and organize work and testing and handle feedback.
Once versions were stable in 'our' enviroment copies were handed out to other communities that run very specific server setups that differ greatly in both complexity and own written mods.
Once this stage is complete, it will indeed be released to even more admins / public - but IF anything happens, it won't flood us and more importantly Anthrax with questions, whine and other matters that begins to take priority over finetuning the application and solving the pressing matters that emerge.
I have complete understanding in what you say and what many people might feel, that they are abit left out, and it's not anyones intention to seem superior in any way. If it would make people feel better we can stop announcing progress and simply finish it as it with no support and move on to one of the many projects that comes after ACE, which has been prioritized due to many people changing to newer hardware and operating systems BUT still enjoy a game of UT.

You could at least show some respect to anth ...
I for one know, from personal conversations with him, that he is working as hard as he can on fixing the remaining bugs. Some bugs are just very hard to fix.

I would liek to confirm that I have played on at least 2 ACE beta servers I run windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and its flawless! Just wanted to say that Yeah I Was a little jealous that a few servers have ace already, but that's ok not everyone can be trusted. I do know that these guys are working hard. I and I'm sure a lot of ppl appreciate their efforts!
