Default UTPure (and Nexgen SC) installation trouble

As UTPure's installation notices say:
Quote:
Then start up your server, and immediately shut it down. UTPure will then have created a new section in your server ini file called [UTPureRC7G.UTPure], where all configurable
options are stored.
But real situation is so: no sections in any ini file were created.

This is obviously not UTPure's problem: Nexgen Server Controller also must create it's own ini-file, but it also doesn't!

My server is running under FreeBSD-8, all files/directories permissions is ok, server process uid = file owner's uid.

So, what it the source of problem and how to solve it?

Yes, I can, but I am interested to remove the source of this problem. The problem is inability for any mutator to create own separeted ini file or add own section to already existing ini-file. Maybe it also can not modify own keyvalues in ini-file, I just haven't checked for it.

Is your server being launched via a script? If so check to see if another ini file is being used, say server.ini.

And that's probably why UTIII was a relative flop. New game, same sh*thead players ^^.

I have the same problem with ACE (only) . Perhaps a Server problem I would assume.

No, I have specified full filename (e.g. with path) of ini configuration. By the way, Nexgen should create it's own file, but it doesn't.

check files permissions on system folder chmod[755]?

try chmod[777] full access on folder only , perhaps .htaccess will help also.

LOL, htaccess is a configuretion file of Apache Http Server. Apache don't know anything about UT99, UT99 — about Apache.
