Ban system could be seperate imo, and even then you would need separate libraries for linux/mac/win. Doable but would take some time.

Ring 3 Hardware ban systems are utterly useless. Not entirely useless, but more like Iraq's military, or mexican border patrol. It goes something like this..


admin>"i bant u fgt! i r teh winnnnnar!!!"
cheater> click click click (intercepted hardware values, changing values by one byte)
admin>"omg fkn cheeetttter!!!"

Something along the lines of that. Why ban when you can disable and log?

A Funny option would be to put in the 0 pixels and 0 resolution when cheating

in my opinion, player that use cheat they don't deserve to play, you can use a hash system, even if the player changes HDD or Processor, you will still have the hash of the other hardwares.

I think what he means is that it's possible to intercept any calls that try to retrieve hardwaez information such as MAC addresses.

All I'm saying, I'm for the idea of banning cheaters, but.. Give me 1 hour OllyDbg, IDA, and MASM, and their precious hardware bans are rendered useless. Now give these tools to someone who is actually GOOD at reverse engineering... If an amateur like me can do it in an hour, you get what I'm saying..

P.S. First milestone, I have uscript/native working in sync (not like the boyband either). Now I'm writing the uscript server classes, and the update protocol. Just thought I'd let you guys know how it's going. I do have to give a shout out to my boy AnthraX for pointing me into the right direction

I know one of the top cheat coders in the game and he was/is a GREAT guy but had this cheating virus in his system.

After constantly breaking his balls I will take some very small credit for helping him to the Light. He actually went out, lost a ton of weight and got some pussy and he is now a normal functioning well adjusted human being !

Hackers step away from the keyboard = hacking a 10 year old game is NOT cool.
