Default Happy 2nd Birthday Truff
Not the usual news but we're big admirers and friends of Truff ...

On Sunday, 17 October 2004, the Truff UT Community reaches its second birthday. Over the past two years they've come a long way from running a single 6-player server on a home connection to a lively community running several full servers, often with over 100 players on at any one time! To celebrate, they are closing the regular servers and will be running a variety of fun UT mods for the day. The servers are UK based and will be running from 12 midday until midnight (UK time - BST). Everyone is welcome to join them!

Happy second birthday to Truff's. I've only been playing on their servers for the last few months but the atmosphere is great and the community is an example for others to follow.

Thanks to everyone who came along to play on the servers - and if you didn't you missed a great party!

It seems the hit of the day was the Esc server, which was busy for the whole 12 hours. If you're not familiar with Esc, this is a total conversion for UT which turns it into a nightclub with chat and dancing with a live music stream (ideal for a party!). See www.esconline.org for further details.

Now to start planning for next year....
