Question when my modem in ROUTER mode my server is NOT visible in master server list

When my modem is in bridge mode my server visible in master server list. And when my modem in ROUTER mode my server is NOT visible in master server list.

The ports are open
7777 - 7788 Protocol: TCP/UDP
27900 Protocol: TCP/UDP
42292 Protocol: TCP/UDP

ServerBehindNAT=True
is in
Dedicated_Server_CTF.ini
Default.ini
UT2004.ini
ut2004-win64.ini

Tell me please how configure ut or modem, that my server is been visible in master server list?

You probably need to establish a DMZ for it.

Have you established port forwarding to the host machine?

I'm at the end of my usefulness then. Perhaps post in the home forums for the router model you use?

Open your UT.ini using Notepad.. or similar.

CTRL+F & Search for "DoUplink" , if not found .. add to UT.ini somewhere..

Code:
[IpServer.UdpServerUplink]
DoUplink=True
UpdateMinutes=1
MasterServerAddress=unreal.epicgames.com
MasterServerPort=27900
Region=0

Last edited by back4more : 8th February, 2013 at 08:33 AM. Reason: clarification.. UT.ini = UnrealTournament.ini or other_named.ini

You've either made a mistake in the DMZ setup or port forwarding, there is nothing else that it could be unless you enabled MAC filters or something exotic like that.

Your server will always ping in the LAN list because the router serves as a central point. Effectively you can ignore that.

Thank You All. Works. On my comp i see my server through LAN with ping and with N/A ping from Internet. It is like normal(Also, please remember due to the way NAT works, any computer within your local NAT network will have to connect and view your server (via the server browser) via the LAN IP else you will have problem's connecting and get N/A for the server details. Anyone outside your network (Internet) should see your server fine now as long as the ports are opened.)?

ps why people dont connect to my server? Not a popular little people?

Online play is close to dead. Unless you run one of the well-established servers you just don't get random players stopping by. Post the IP of your server and we will stop by and take a look.

Fatigue starts to set in after you play the same game for 10 years It's not flashy and new enough for kids nowadays too. They all play Xbox and PS3. The true computer gamer is a dying breed.

email your old friends to come for a game.. make a post in some local forums
add a link to your server unreal://<IP>:<PORT> in your forum sig.
register your server @gametracker.com

go into multiplayer > findgames > chat

there are still alot of active players in there.. in channels
#IPUG (IG) AND #UPUG (NORMAL WEAPON'S)

make sure that you have setup your RedirectToURL=uz.ut-files.com (or similar)

check your upload bandwidth speeds at speedtest.com
only open enough slots to cater for your upload speed.

beware of torrents/streaming media and downloads whilst players on server.

will take a while but slowly you will get a few players dropping in for a game...

using mapvotela13 have several votable gametypes.. include bots in the first column for bored players waiting for others.

hopefully this helps.

I think the biggest reason is that the game requires some actual skill. You cant play it while updating facetube or youbook. Just about everyone turns down the flashyness in new games anyway, so all games basically look like shit no matter how good they look with default settings.

I remember way back that all new players would scream CHEATER! when they got raped by seasoned players, and then they just decided to not play the game because they thought everyone who played it used a bot of some kind.

I also remember that people back then accepted that some people were just better than them, better than they could ever become. 4-5 people that I used to play with come to mind, who would totally dominate and you would feel seriously pleased if you managed to smack them 1 or 2 times in a round. Nowadays everyone is supposed to be a winner. They expect to be on top of the situation in no time, and if they arent; everyone else is a cheater, and/or the game sucks.

/old man rant end.
