I'm no expert, before you ask

I'm not sure why it wasn't added by default, maybe ACE didn't see it as part of UTPure. And, while I think of it, isn't that some sort of cheat detection as well? If so, I hope it's disabled

And for your P.S. I would assume that nobody used the weapon that was kicked for the first time round. Again, I'm no expert but these would be my guesses.

Thanks for the work and another release it is appreciate.

I just setup ACEv_08.
I have a player that have no HWID data.
It does havea Mac1 and Mac2, but the HWID is blank. every map and just for that player
Is that normal or something i should look into?

Now I wonder if the bank of all hacks old and already in ace 8g without needing to update and it just auto updates for new hacks?
or after you installed it will still update des hacks of old to today?

those that do not understand the shit I used google translator: P

It's normal, as I suspect it's a player using WINE and in those cases Hardware ID are temporarily disabled for those clients.

I've got a question - are the timouts only caused by the client or do they also depend on the server?

And my players are complaining about lags since I put ACE on, I know, this lag thing depends on many things, but is it possible that it's caused by ACE?

Quick question, when installing ace it jumbles up all my actors/packages in my ini. I like them to be uniform and tidy. Does ace do this because it has to be in a certain order or am I ok to reorganize the actors to the top etc?

It is possible it will lag clients during checks and periodic checks. I think you need to ask your clients to try and tweak their settings with mutate ace help. maybe try highperftoggle for high end systems or compattoggle.

I believe PackageHelper does that, maybe Anth can explain why.

Yea I had to let it do its thing then reorganize them and restart and it stayed. Doesn't seem to be causing any problem.

At the moment the only thing that autoupdates are the file definitions of the whitelist.

Autoupdate of core files are possible, but not until v0.9 BETA or v1.0.
There are quite a few more adjustments needed and some other things needs to be sorted and rewritten..

Ok, tested it, the same problem with v-6g

Everyone timeout during checks... I asked a friend that plays in uK server (with same ace version with no probs) and she got lots of timeouts, and high ping..

Maybe this is happening because im behind a router and i didnt configure anything ? just a clean install.

So I'm also having the problem with players being kicked with PureStat7E. I added this to my ini and I still got kicked:

[ACEv08_AutoConfig.ACEAutoConfigActor]
UPackages[0]=PureStat7E.u

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here, should I be adding it to the ignored classes or what?

"To add a package, simply add the filename to the UPackages list, eg: UPackages[0]=MyMOD.u"

Edit: while messing around with adding it to the other section, it ended up putting this in my Serverpackages for some reason... ServerPackages=GetRequiredPackages
Had to remove it cuz the server was crashing cuz it couldn't find the package..

try UPackages[0]=PureStat7E

(without the .u)

I'll patch the autoconfig actor to fix some of these installation issues.

ok yes that was it AnthraX. Please edit your documentation so it doesn't say "MyPackage.u" so others aren't confused ;p

I did second guess that at first but I didn't want to deviate from the instructions.

I hope you realize that all of the logs you've posted are from the previous ACE release. I find that screenshots rarely time out in v0.8g. If they do time out then the issue is most likely networking related. Even on an old pc, compressing the screenshot only takes a neglectable amount of processing time.

As for the logs:
* 1st (LoadMap): false positive
* 2nd (ProcessEvent): cheat
* 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th: impossible to tell. They're not known hacked files but they're not known official releases either.
* 6th, 7th: cheats

At first many thanks for your work anthrax

I have install the new ACE on a TO 3.4 Server and the server start without problems.

Only one Problem
the NPloader is not installing clientside.

I have done it manuell

Connection on TO Server is no Problem but i have been kicked for this
What can i do?

If you run your server behind a NAT router, the server needs to find out its

bAutoFindWANIP=false
ACE doesn't add LAG to a server either - but as it does change (corrects timings) game feel might initially feel different.

Either 'mutate ace compattoggle' for old settings or the ace highperformance mode which givs other timings.
Ask your players once connected to 'mutate ace help'
