Can I play UT2k3 also in openGL instead of D3D?
And how can i do this. Because in the first UT u could choose between D3D or openGL, in openGL i had double fps. So i want to try this now in UT2k3 as well. I know have 60 fps. On P4 2,4 GHZ GF 4200, is a little fps for that kinda pc i think

Yes you can
Go to your UT2003/System folder, in the UT2003.ini you change
[Engine.Engine]
RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=Engine.NullRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
to
[Engine.Engine]
;RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=Engine.NullRenderDevice
RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice

I think OpenGL is more stable and a little bit faster on my system, its hard to tell because it depends on your hardware and the settings in the UT2003.ini, a god thing with the patch (2136) is that now "DesiredRefreshRate=75" works in OpenGL

is probably the worst game ever to be developed, i have no more to say other than 50% of people that bought it have actually packed it in and gone back to UT. UT2003 is nothing more than, Quake 4 arena personified
its crap zzz

Hey, I wouldn't mind having the original. And also, I don't know why you are freezing. I run just about the same setup and I never have had problems out of UT, UT2003, or UT2004. So I guess this is you :bsod:
