Hi all
i am new to setting up server from scratch.
i started new server and wanted to try this complete server install to see how easy it would be. putting everything in each folder was relatively easy.

after adding all files included, i left as is and tried to start the server. server is not working. i checked out the ucc log and says some critical error with the webchat log. so i removed the webchat log from the [Engine.GameEngine] section and restarted server. server starts and can play on it however.......

1. something wrong with the webchat thing and dont know how to fix. both webchatlog.u and webchat.dll are in the system folder of server. so for now i have deleted ServerActors=WebChatLog.WebChatLog from the [Engine.GameEngine]

2. my server webadmin before putting in this complete server setup was
http://ip:8080/serveradmin and i know now using this new complete server setup that my webadmin is http://ip:8888/serveradmin however the user and pw for the 8080 does not work for the new 8888 and i have no clue where to check or add new info. i looked in the swa.ini and no place for a user and pw, i checked ut.ini and i see this

3. my server is suppose to be sniper server and it has all weaps in it.

5. Mapvote is not coming up. using mapvote that came with baiters dl and have not changed anything in it.

Could it be that you are on a linux-based box?

And to get ASC window say "!open" without the quotes.

well, yea i think it might be, only reason i say yea is cause when in the server it doesnt show the special characters in ppls nicknames. other than that i have no clue...server came from clanservers.

Yeah it's Linux-based: meaning that you should not have tried this windows-based machine:

I only have 1 problem.On my DM server people can enter with a mac and on my TDM they cannot.

OSCare needs to be on. This skips the check on Mac/Linux.

That DownloadURL should be pointing to a UTDC DLL or a UTDC Page. Something that gives them instructions on how to work the mofo

yeah ok thats fine i had it like that because they could download it and it worked,
but still mac and linux users get kicked out

I also suggest putting the UTDCv17c.u file somewhere else than on your redirect. (website, ftp or anything)
Sometimes i3d likes to do some cleanup of non *.uz files

Was the bug on your startscript or the UT.ini ?
I have the same :

Failed to listen: Sockets: binding to port 7777 failed (1085891392)
WinSock shut down
appError called:
Dedicated server can't listen: Sockets: binding to port 7777 failed (1085891392)
Executing UObject::StaticShutdownAfterError

not on your server but after migrating from Windows -> Linux.
Can you post your solution ?

I simply removed the "multihome=" statement in the start script.

I dont know much about ports and why your's isnt binding. Did you forward your ports?

and I dont know a thing about Linux.

Ok...

I have the first edition running and it works great.

If I would upgrade to this newer version, what files need replacing and what ones can I leave as original? Also is there anything that I need to change in my "unrealtournament.ini" file??

You need to put UTDC18 files in your system folder, along with making the appropiate UT.ini changes.

Replace Web folder with new one.

Replace UTDC.ini

And if your start script is working, dont worry about it.

Replace your IpServer.u file with the new one.

Ok Cool. Thanks again for an EXCELLENT job in putting together this server edition. It really helped me alot when I put up "The Rat's Nest".

Hey guys, was reading some of the posts here and noticed one that said you should never use actorCLP with ASC. We have 2 servers running with ActorCLP and MapvoteLA13. We installed ASC on both and didn't remove ActorCLP. We haven't had any issues and everything is working great. Does ActorCLP interfere with ASC at all? Should I remove or leave as is?
