Cruicky,

Team Warfare Ladder is mandating SafeGame by 8/21/2005, but in addition, they want UTAN to be loaded with their TWL username and PW Hash. Can you give us an option in UTAN to store multiple or at least two Usernames and Passwords, so we can easily choose which to load, such as just prior to a match. I certainly am not interested in leaving their username and password on my servers all the time.

Along those lines, it would be nice to be able to add multiple usernames and passwords at one time. That way, one could have their account loaded and our own personal accounts loaded, plus any other admins we feel that we would like to load.

Is either of those two possible?

Thanks........

Heh, I knew it:
[13:15:28] <@<hidden>> oh, I just had a nice idea for a UTPlus extension...
[13:15:56] <@<hidden>> some leagues like ClanBase use UTAN to enforce blacklists, right?
[13:17:05] <@<hidden>> I could write a plugin that reads a list of GUIDs maintained on a remote server
[13:17:25] <[SuK|g42]Psycho> and ban players via UTP?
[13:17:28] <@<hidden>> that might sound a bit redundant to UTAN, but it allows admins to keep two separate lists
[13:18:13] <@<hidden>> one of the regular server usage and one with the blacklisted (i.e. league-banned) GUIDs:)

something like the AntiTCC configuration profiles.

UT2004\System\UTPlusServerSettings.ini (dunno if UTPlusServer uses an external file like the client "UTPlusClientSettings.ini" ?!?)
[UTPlus BanSettings]
CurrentProfile=League

[Clan UTANSettings]
UTANUserName=ClanAdmin
UTANPassHash=xxx

[League UTANSettings]
UTANUserName=LeagueAdmin
UTANPassHash=xxx

UT2004\System\UTPlusUTANBans.ini (File to store the bans)
[Clan UTANSettings]
BanInfo=(BanID=xxxx,BanType="Server",BanGUID="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx",BanIP="a.b.c.d")
BanInfo=(BanID=xxxx,BanType="Server",BanGUID="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx",BanIP="a.b.c.d")

[League UTANSettings]
BanInfo=(BanID=xxxx,BanType="Server",BanGUID="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx",BanIP="a.b.c.d")
BanInfo=(BanID=xxxx,BanType="Server",BanGUID="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx",BanIP="a.b.c.d")

Epic map vote:

GameConfig=(GameClass="XGame.xTeamGame",Prefix="DM",Acronym="DM",GameName="League 4on4",Mutators="...",Options="MaxPlayers=4?.....?AntiTCCSettings=League?UTPlusBanSettings=League")

GameConfig=(GameClass="XGame.xTeamGame",Prefix="DM",Acronym="DM",GameName="Train 4on4",Mutators="...",Options="MaxPlayers=4?.....?AntiTCCSettings=Train?UTPlusBanSettings=Clan")

Only problem with this is that adding an additional mutator could be protested by an opposing team, unless that mutator was listed by the ladder as acceptable.

Working this into the UTAN mutator though, which is accepted by all, would be the best solution.

Maybe after I've finished the next SafeGame. ;)

A few clan leaders were recently discussing something like this.

We were thinking that a clan-centric coalition to combat botters would be nifty. Here's what we were thinking:

Create a group of server admins on UTAN. Each server admin can submit a ban into the group's blacklist. Whenever the blacklist is updated, all of the servers in that group receive the same blacklist. This way, we can all have a way to contribute.

As it stands, relying on the leagues to keep up with this can be cumbersome both to the league admins & the clans themselves as they wait on the leagues to ban or not ban. This way, we can react in real-time to situtations as they arise.

Not sure if this is possible already, or if there's any implications we haven't thought of yet.

I, personally, would NEVER support something like this. Too easy to abuse. And I'm a clan admin, server admin, and a ladder admin.

After thinking more about my post, I think Warped_Out's system would work better. If I was able to add multiple account/password hashes, I could add the server bans of other admins I trust.

Ya mutiple accout/password hashes would be very useful.
