I put a custom map and set up redirect today on my server. I was originally going to wait to see if there was going to be compression in the next patch, until I did a little experiment. It seems that the maps are pretty well compressed right off the get go. I took a 33mb map and only zipped it down to 30mb with standard compression (7-zip). With utra compression I only got it down to 29mb. It's looking like even with compression the map download sizes are still going to be big. :neutral:
