I have just one question

it is normal that the Hud of Nexgen is not displayed on other servers that the same version on my server?

Yes.. you can use other HUD mods that have been made by other coders on the server and still use Nexgen.. I use AMLP's hud which we like very much and still run nexgen.. The nexgen HUD is excellent but for our server, the AMLP HUD shows what we like for sniping.. So yes.. Normal and possible with Nexgen.. Hope this helps.. Super day eh!:thumbup:

bon si le hud n'apparait pas c'est qu' il été désativé par l'administrateur.
c'est le cas sur le server A/S donc ce n'est pas un bug.

I have a server with Nexgen here in Brazil. I'm having problems with pure hitsound + nexgen.

When i use the last version of nexgen (and replace the pure hud) the hitsound simply are disabled!

I tried use qvalidate or excessiveoverkill, but nothing of hitsounds.

In my server i use DinamicPackageLoader and ServerMode to make siege and other modes run in the same server =D

Any Ideas?

PS: I'm not found any log about the hitsound actor...

Admin i had it too but that was because i did the same as you put the nexgen packagers after the utdc and nploader.

It helped for me.

Is there any chance to add support for IpToCountry in Nexgen (even with plug in, or any option)? Instead of ASC, Nexgen didn't work with MODOSUtilsV26pre5 who support it...

In ASC you can have it say and end game quote. Does Nexgen have this ablity and if not any way to add it in the next release?

What do you mean by 'support it?
I mean that MODOSUtilsV26pre5 can work with IpToCountry (in DM mode)
But Nexgen didn't work with IpToCountry or MODOSUtilsV26pre5

Yes its true... i disabled pure from server to use an older verions of nexgen (the last version was crashin no mapchange) and trying to use another hitsound, like Excessive2.HitSound or qvalidate and nothing =/

I have solved a problem betwen nexgen and anthchecker (this combination was crashing the server) and i will try enabling again the upture.

see sue my server when the server lag a bit before the party begins on NexGen hud of disappears after killing the first time see before. and there is not even the standard hud ahead.

although it will be the NexGen remembers when the active display of ping or that activates the flash message. because we must reconfigure each time

Get this error on my own server, where we have copied the same ut.ini files around cause of settings adjustment for "noobs" :

Failed to login: client ID already in use.

Where can I reset or change the client ID, what part is that?
Or will it just work with a clean install and then just set the settings per user?

In the Nexgen.ini file is where you can make those changes. Should be in your system folder on your server.. Super day mate.

Actually these values are stored in the User.ini file under the NexgenCC.GeneralConfig section.

While Im in here:

Been following the "readme" to Nexgen109, and cant get through these steps:

Start unreal and visit your server. If the installation was successful,
Nexgen should now be running on your server.

8. Now would be a good time to configure Nexgen. To do this open the control
panel (say !open) and select admin login from the Client->Home tab. In the
window that appears, enter your server administrator password (see step 2),
and click on login.

Nothing happends when: say !open is executed. All the hud stuff, idle time kick and so on, is working great.

For some reason some players are complaining that with Nexgen they cant view the chatbox at certain times. I experienced the same problems, why is this?

Theres no need to change the serverside netspeed...NexGen has its own hud etc players get to choose if they want it on. You can force the NexGen hud off

Perhaps I'm confused. If the *chatbox is failing to load*, the client's netspeed may not be high enough. But what scarface said is also true.

The point it is that for some reason sometimes it doesnt show up. So players get annoyed. Meaning its off without them turning it off. Then a few games later it comes back on. It randomly gives it to you or it doesnt, at times.

Just double-check that you've installed everything properly and that Nexgen and its related plug-ins are the last things on your server actors list.

Two issues with 109. Reported by our players and verified by another admin and myself, both D3D and OpenGL.

The client settings tickbox for "Enable Nexgen Message HUD" doesn't seem to do anything. Nexgen hud remains permanently on, persisting on reconnection. Other tickboxes on that page work as expected.

More seriously, and this is probably also what UnrealD is describing above, is the Nexgen HUD disappears completely, seemingly at random during respawn or connection. When spawning, player has no chatbox - original or nexgen, and no system or other messages scrolling below it. Nothing, nada, zilch.

After much head scratching because it tested fine on a few of our servers, we've narrowed it down to servers with UTPure installed (7E and 7G). Nexgen hud behaves normally on servers without Pure. As a work around, we've disabled the nexgen hud in nexgen.ini.

So my guess is the code that allows Nexgen to bypass Pure still needs some work to be stable. Good luck, and thanks.

Those codes correspond with reasons that the timeout occurred. I'll be honest: I don't understand them :P But, from what I've seen at least 3 times before, it's because the client's netspeed isn't high enough to replicate all the player data to the client in a short enough amount of time. The solution for now will be to make sure that the players are at the correct netspeed. I believe the next version will first check for a 'minimum' netspeed and boost the players to that minimum if they are too low.

setting your netspeed to 10000 is eneough, but setting your netspeed is one thing, another thing is your internet connection ..... some players have poor internet connection, some play wireless and sometime interfearance occur that will make the bandwidth drop regardless of your ini settings, that would explain the come and go of the HUD if it's netspeed dependant.

lol, and a funny one about the say !open. I got this player on my server once who couldn't get it to work ... what he did was to press the the T button to open up the chatmessage box, then he typed : say !open ... surely didn't work, just type: !open and nothing more.

I haven't posted on here for awhile, but these nexgen kicks are bugging the crap out of me heh! I keep getting kicked. It's not because of netspeed, not because of opengl/d3d... it's due to certain maps. The kick would occur on maps like dm-metalhell but not dm-1v1rose. I'd usually get kicked 15 - 50 seconds while playing on metalhell. Increasing netspeed wouldn't help. When trying to play on an Euro server like snipermania, being from USA, my ping would be around 130 which isn't that high. So I don't think it's a ping issue, though it might be. It definitely occurs only on certain maps

What code does it report for you? 0x000000FF?

To be honest, I have absolutely no clue why these timeouts occur. I'll do my best to fix them in the next version, but I really need more information. Can you tell me on which servers you've been experiencing this problem? That way I can try to do some more tests. It would also be nice if someone can send me unrealtournament.log (at least from the client, but also from the server if possible) immediately after this has happened.

Snipermania servers... here's the 1v1 ip: 85.25.17.191:9000.

Some examples:
Would get kicked in DM-1on1MetalHell but not DM-1on1Rose within 15-50 seconds of gameplay.

Well I've just been there, but I'm not able to reproduce the timeout. Not even on the map you mentioned.

I think I might know what is causing it, however I need to do some tests. And since I'm unable to reproduce this error, I could use your help on this. If you are interested in helping, I will send you a PM that explains how you can help to identify this problem.

I think he is referring to the NexGenMH version of NexGen. Not sure of the buttons he is referring to, as I've never used it.

I do know it was made when NexGen first didn't work correctly with MH. Now the newer versions do, so I'm not sure.

But this happens only when I start playing on a map which I previously didn't have on my HD. For example on CTF-Wootaboulus which I had on HD there was no problem. On all other maps which I need to download them this timeout error appears and it doesnt help to recconect 10 times. Same error persists.

Regarding the new 1.09 version :


- Fixed: Players starting with a flag on their back with UTPure and tournament mode.


I still experiment this bug, using the ClickBoard2 mod with Tournament Mode activated. Note that I'm not using UTPure.


- Changed: Message flash effect is now disabled by default.

If I add an ASC/Nexgen id ban manually, using the ban control tab, the banned ids don't stick, they are emptied at every mapchange. I have to add them to bannedIDs with a text editor and restart the server.

When you put it in manualy then you also have to click on update on the left side under the players that are banned if you do not click update nothing stays in there what you typed.

Update button is the thing to do :)

I just installed Nexgen v109 and nexgenxv109 on my server it works from what the logs are telling me but i cant connect to it and I get an EUT error telling me to contact the admin(Me) lmao....so i check the logs and it says i was denied because of an eut cheat...i have eut on a second server without nexgen and i log in nps...any suggestions???

I have a problem withs the teamkill preferences. My mod on the server is MH Monsterhunt.

The teamkill option is a nice idee but when i shot on a player comes not blood. He loses not heath. :frown: What now?

How becomes the ''teamkill protect?'' failed???

Perhaps the gametype isn't written to allow team damage at all? That setting "FriendlyFireScale" is inherited from DeathMatchPlus, so the creators of MH could have completely disabled team damage in the game code itself.

I have version 1.07 running on 6 servers loaded on a Windows Server 2003 box and have experienced absolutely no problems at all. I even managed to dump a few mutators off the server because NSC handles the chat logging and such. Great job!:thumbup::thumbup: I'm very happy with this little item.

That was the very first thing I did, since I was pretty sure that was the culprit.

However, disabling it still had the same effect.

useNexgenMessageHUD=False

I just took NSC off the server for now. Everything runs fine without it.

Another Issue for Nexgen

the Zeroping don't work with nexgen (The Zp does not appear in the name of the server) and much players complaint in my team and said " the server have not Zeroping".

Did you actually test this without Nexgen to be sure?

I don't think it has anything to do with Nexgen. See how the lastServerURL doesn't have ZP in it? This means that your server's startup mutator line isn't working with it. Make sure you have edited your MapVote config too if that requires modification.

The full server redirect for Nexgen doesn't seem to work either. There is nothing in the server.log. If Matthew or Defrost would like would like admin permissions to server let me know. I am even willing to give FTP access.

You know how when the server is full, you can setup a redirect where it will say this server is full click this button to get taken here bla blah

That doesnt work at all. No matter what i tried. I did it manually in game and then manually on the nexgen.ini and nothing.

Ahhhhh I was thinking redirect as in, the files being redirected. Haha!

I have it enabled on my server, not sure if it works or not as I've never tried to join the server when it was full.

Easiest way to test it is to set the server to a 1 man server. Have someone join and then try to join. When I do this, it just simply says connection failed

Of course it will, since that's controlled by the UT engine. If MaxPlayers has been reached, a player will be denied access. No mutator can change that behavior. I believe this feature works like this: you set your MaxPlayers setting to MaxPlayers+1. This way, someone can always join, but when MaxPlayers-1 has been reached, it will tell the player the server is full.

On second thought: NexGen will probably do this itself (MaxPlayers+1) to seamlessly work around this limitation. Maybe you are right and it is indeed not working in NexGen (never tried).

I'd imagine that a reason it isn't working for you is that you are an admin. If you have any admin slots set up, the server WILL put you in them :) Chances are that it is working fine for your normal players.

I knew someone would suggest that. I took admin away from myself and tried to enter with the server set to 1 slot and a person in there of course and it returned connection failed. Maybe while you are looking at my webserver, you would like to check this out too :P

redirect is not working same as admin slots.

Admin slots are set for me and my wife on our servers but it just fills the slot with other admins or players altho me and here are the only one that should be in admin slot.I told defrost this some time ago and he will get to it when he gets the spirit and satisfaction back to make a update for it.

When i am posting this my server 1 is full server 2 is empty all others that want to join will not be redirected.

Redirection works good for me, my 2nd server got closed, and i set it to 0 player slots and 1 admin slots, this way players get automatically redirected

There is a solution, not sure how effective it is though.

So far all clients that have contacted me about the problem seem to be using demo manager. When I asked them to set the demo manager to not auto record or switch it off completely, nexgen allowed them in.

Nexgen 1.10 has a new method of applying the NexgenHUD, which has better support for other mods that modify the HUD. However it is experimental and may introduce some new issues.

I use MapVoteLA13 and nexgen and my server runs fine. Best thing for you would be to password your server take off all packages and mutators and just put on nexgen and a zp weapon. If it works then you know that it is a serverpackage/actor/mutator conflict.

I for sure can say that nexgen works fine with ZPPlus103 which is based on UTPure's ZP.

Unfortunately this process of elimination is the only way you will definetly know for sure what is causing your issue.

Take off UTDC, NPL, UTDC+, and Anth aswell.

Just start NexGen and and ZPPure. If it doesn't work then start ZPPure on its own. Make sure you are mutating only ZPPure with mapvote.

Also, a quick suggestion to Defrost.

Can we have an option to enable and disable PM function please? So maybe in the accounts section for account levels or something?

The siege gametype is very tactical and people sit in spec and PM their clan team mate telling them where enemy built warheads are situated meaning they get destroyed.

This simple check function would work great.

I'm not sure what you are doing wrong but try what i suggested earlier on.

Just start up a clean server no additional mutators, actors or anything else. Just add a normal BotPack.CTFGame with ZP mutated by mapvote. If it works, add Nexgen and test again.

Only then will you be able to truely tell if it is a Nexgen issue

I would like to see a teamspeak function in nexgen.You already can send someone as admin to a teamspeak server by sending to url under game tab.

What i would love to see is that of someone says !ts he will send there with the name he is logged in with in nexgen.

To config this function we should need a extra tab plugin of nexgen so everyone can setup his own ts ip and portnumber.


Is this possible? I think so but i am just asking if we can have it :)

Your problem looks unrelated to this thread, in which case you should make a new topic. Anyway, make sure that you are not trying to use both ZP mutators, and that you are pushing the one that you are actually using as serverpackage. Removing the files you are not using is recommended, as they otherwise might confuse you - especially if you are loading stuff via webadmin.

Nexgen 1.10 has been released.

Changes in Nexgen 1.10
- Fixed: Several accessed none warnings in NexgenClient.
- Fixed: Login timeout with diagnostics code 0x000000FF.
- Fixed: Exploit that could crash the server.
- Changed: New method for enabling the Nexgen HUD (should support more mods).
- Added: Automatic adjustment of netspeed setting when a login timeout occurs.
- Added: Moderator event signals for plugins.

Changes in NexgenX 1.10
- Fixed: Unable to save the server rules if too many characters are used.

So there aren't really new features. Wanted to implement some, but since I don't have the time I decided to make a release now with only bugfixes.

Nexgen 1.10 has a new method to apply its HUD. This method should provide better support for custom game types and other mods. However it might also break compatibility with some that previously worked fine.

If i start the server with ASC or HUT8 the player lost heath, now.

Defrost can probably shed more light on that than I can, but I do know that the <C0x> tags tell Nexgen to assign that line a different color on the Nexgen HUD. If you have the Nexgen HUD disabled perhaps that's the reason.

It's just like matt said. Those tags are used to change the default color of a line. Looks like they are not stripped when the Nexgen HUD extensions are disabled. Will be fixed in 1.11

As some of you may know, I've had very big issues with most of our servers at Multiplay disappearing from the master browser list, losing us players and community. The server would show when started, but after a random amount of time it would simply disappear, not to return until the server was restarted.

It's taken me a long time to resolve this, and my fondness for Nexgen may have made me overlook it when bugfixing, but I now know this issue was caused by Nexgen 1.07. Remove it - the server continues to show after 24 hours whereas before it would normally be gone before an hour.

The servers still answered to qstat and favourites queries so not changing or closing the query port, but not to the master list. Don't know what's happening but I guess Nexgen is sending a "server stopped" message to them, or somehow blocking the master query if it's any different to a qstat one. I have another theory; I used the same Nexgen ini for all our servers since Nexgen doesn't come with an ini and is designed to be created when first run and managed from the gui. At MPUK we use Clanforge to manage the servers and this doesn't allow us to change things once run. The files are prepared in advance and then copied to the game server automatically, so we need to provide a Nexgen.ini in advance and upload with the rest. So I created a file on my pc, adjusted the settings off the defaults as I wanted, then used that ini for all servers. It sounds possible that sharing a unique key could be the reason for this, although why it alters the master list I don't know.

I don't know if this unwanted behavior has been encountered by anyone else, I certainly couldn't find it when googling for solutions, or even if found and fixed in later versions. We did encounter another showstopping bug in 108 when we upgraded which forced us to roll back to 107 which we thought was a safe version. Because of these problems I'm reluctant to continue using Nexgen in any form since my confidence that it works well with Clanforge is now rock-bottom.

So sorry - thanks for the development, I really liked Nexgen and I'm sure it'll suit most other people just fine.

Nexgen does not alter the UpdServerUplinks (those are responsible for registering it in the master servers). So whatever is happening it's not because Nexgen is doing something intentionally, and it's most likely a combination of several mods that causes this behaviour (although I fail to see how Nexgen could be involved).

Anyway have you taken a look at the server logs?

It's possible it was conflicting with something else, but what would cause this is still a mystery to me. All I know is - once Nexgen was pulled, they're staying visible 100% of the time. Not looking for you to fix the issue if it doesn't affect anyone else, had my nose burnt a bit here so want to concentrate on rebuilding the player numbers we lost. We don't actually run that many packages, only a couple of backend things that are unique to us and none of the others are in common so I don't *think* it is a mod conflict.

My motivation for posting here was not to complain, only to put the information out there in case anyone else has the same problem. Also so you don't see my blaming Nexgen on our forums when people ask why some of the functionality Nexgen gave us has gone and think what an ignorant git I am for not mentioning it here :)

I am using nexgen since it was developed and i never had the issues you have.
I would like to have a look at your ini but on the other hand i am off for 10 days.

Could you show me the query's your unreal ini makes to the masterservers?
Which one you use?

What type of server do you run?

Linux has a issue with masterservers if you try to logon to more then 2!
Windows does not.

I had the same problem as Flash_ .
I did not realize that my server was not visible until a player sent a mail, yesterday, to know if my server was down. After several tests, I switched to the last version, without nexgen and the server became visible again. This is a home server, only one on the IP, running under windows.
I must say I did not have enought time to investigate much. I will do next week-end.

question is there a posibillity to make another gametype for nexgen "tvcoop"
i ran a Na Pali mod (tvcoop) and i noticed that i can switch map (if the server
locks and restarts to startmap, but after i do that the "regular" hud returns
(even if i had it disabled!) so switching due nexgen is not an option.
i thought mm the bootcontrol thats handy.. for this but ehh tvcoop wasn't
supporterd overthere also

I know that there are not many tvcoop server outhere but if u could make it in an next release? :D

I'm not quite following you. I think you are saying that the "tvcoop" gametype doesn't show up in the gametype list for mapswitch and boot control. If that is the case then you need to create an .int file for your game type. That's what Unreal Tournament (and Nexgen) use to generate a list of available gametypes.

Hi Defrost

When i first installed nexgen 1.09 i disabled the nexgun hud and flashy bits fine for all clients. However, on this update for some reason, some people are saying that they have the flashy hud and have to manually switch it off?

Is there an option I am missinf or something? I disabled anything to do with nexgen hud in the 1.09 install and renamed the ini config file on update.

Since 1.09 the flashing messages are disabled by default for new users, however if the users unchecked and then re-checked that setting at any point, on any server, for any reason (including your server even when the HUD was off), it then enables it. Chances are that the players you are seeing with this just got curious, checked it once, and since the Nexgen HUD was off didn't see any change and just left it as-is. Should only be a small handful of curious users ;)

there is a small bug with the hud otion on all versions of Nexgen

when the messages on active flash for example at what the change of map on the flash messages are deactivated again. must be the change in each maps. Nexgen because not remembers the settings of a maps to another.

I'm just curious if anyone else is having issues. I've recently had to remove nexgen from my server which is a killer considering how big of a role it played in day to day life for us. Starting with 1.09, change times between maps were taking like 10 seconds where before it was only a matter of a few seconds. I removed Nexgen just to make sure that it wasn't nexgen causing it and it certainly was nexgen responsible for it. Along with that little issue, I noticed my ping to the server is also about 20 milliseconds lower without Nexgen. Is the long map change times and drastic ping increase being caused by a bad setting I have done in NexGen or is the problem actually in Nexgen itself? I've been thinking about loading up the first version that allowed the nexgenstatsviewer to see if it is an issue that has occurred since. Could it be that the controller is now becoming to cumbersome with additions and enhancements? Let me know what you all think and I'll post the results from my experiment.

The controller itself actually has been more efficient as versions have gone forward. Do you have any errors in your logfile or anything like that? Try removing all Nexgen-related items (including config files) and then do a fresh install of Nexgen 1.10 and see what happens. Also, do you use the NexgenX plug-in? Perhaps see if enabling / disabling that makes a change.

My logs are totally clean. Very few if no errors. The efficiency issue was always the biggest selling point for me. I do use the NexgenX plugin and the statsviewer plugin. I'll clone one of my servers and delete all the config files and see how it goes with a fresh install. Have a good one.

Great job on the new version ;) Been working good so far, just a couple of things.

When spectators talk (hud enabled) only a portion of their sentence displays. For example, if a spectator types in "hey there," only "there" would be shown.

Also, does the Nexgen hud disable the viewing of the server info, with the admin name, MOTD, and SmartCTF records (f2) It seems as if everytime I hit F2, nothing comes up.

Other than that, it's running great. :)

I've seen this happen when running LinuxCharsetFix. The two aren't compatible with each other, make sure you aren't running it :)

The MOTD is on all my TDM,DM and SmartCTF servers disabled with NexGen on.

I've seen this happen when running LinuxCharsetFix. The two aren't compatible with each other, make sure you aren't running it :)

Well, I think I found the lag issue. I started removing actors and mutators one at a time while leaving Nexgen installed. The lag disappeared when I removed TickFix. Have a good one.

Hiho,

It's possible that you can make (in Version 1.11 or later, maybe in 2.00) the panelsize from 370 x 550 to 600 x 800 and add in the Clientsection after "Home" a own Mapvote?
MapvoteLA is a good tool, but i dont like the disign of it :/

bon j'aimerai bien que le problème avec le zeroping sois une bonne fois résolu si il a un ordre précis pour les servers packages. ( je ne comprend pas pourquoi il marche correctement sur snipermania et pas sur le mien. ( snipermania est sous windows) (mon sever sous Linux)

Try just to start ZeroPingPlus.ZeroPingPlus and add BotPack.InstaGib to the mapvote atleast the insta gid should work then with zeropingplus.

Atleast it did on my insta server.

Another thing is let as many mods you need get started up in your startupline instead of your mapvote.But thats just personal.

well if your in the game it will be displayed as soon as you enter but not in server name add it manualy i had it too.For the accugib i dunno i just used the standard gib and it worked just fine.

More times than you could guess at - this has been ongoing for months and I've spent many hours troubleshooting it. Not once did I ever find anything unusual or likely for the cause. Even been in contact with Epic and Gamespy to see if they were blacklisting us.

It's possible it was conflicting with something else, but what would cause this is still a mystery to me. All I know is - once Nexgen was pulled, they're staying visible 100% of the time. Not looking for you to fix the issue if it doesn't affect anyone else, had my nose burnt a bit here so want to concentrate on rebuilding the player numbers we lost. We don't actually run that many packages, only a couple of backend things that are unique to us and none of the others are in common so I don't *think* it is a mod conflict.

My motivation for posting here was not to complain, only to put the information out there in case anyone else has the same problem. Also so you don't see my blaming Nexgen on our forums when people ask why some of the functionality Nexgen gave us has gone and think what an ignorant git I am for not mentioning it here :)

Have same problem with version 1.10, and its a combination of a map and the controller

the tournament mod does not work well when you put with UTPure the players appear in the map before the end of the countdown started. and reappear at the end of the statement and you lose 10 seconds in the game. (This bug already existed in an earlier version of Nexgen).

le mod tournament ne marche pas bien quand on le met avec UTPure les joueurs apparaissent dans la map avant la fin du decompte de départ. et reapparaissent a la fin du décompte et on perd 10 seconde dans la partie. ( ce bug existait déja dans une version antérieur de Nexgen).

yes.. i was wrong. nexgen tops asc in many aspects. the plugins are very nice feature. are anymore on the way? and is there yet, some way to get rid of the + - stuff when players enter/exit.. Also, it does take the server longer to switch maps with nexgen.. While using asc, it was/is much faster but thats not a big deal.

On my server it changes the map as fast as possible (with Nexgen).

Btw, what about a ServerAdds Plugin? You can easily modify the announcing lines in Nexgen, and after a MapChange they'll be displayed. This way, you dont have to have FTP access.

I wanted to built something like that, to bad I've no clue about coding, so I had to forget about about it :( ..

Happens all the time with chat / event loggers. In the future Nexgen will simply need to check that the line isn't blank.

Does anyone know if it works fully with UTpure yet?? Before i some people from my clan downloads it for there servers. They dont want to because they want it to work with UTpure first.

Not that don't work if you are on tournament mod with UTPure. the players spawn on the map before the count down.

and add a button for forced a game to start in mod tournament same if the number of player is not enough.
as the ASC. The ASC is based in handy for wars when we want to play 4V4 and the map vote is set in 5v5.

Is there a way of more finely tuning the actions that moderators can take?

The one I'd really like to change/remove is "Send to URL", amongst one or two others.

No there isn't at this time. If you have an issue with moderators abusing this ability then I'd suggest removing their account or something.

What code does it report for you? 0x000000FF?

To be honest, I have absolutely no clue why these timeouts occur. I'll do my best to fix them in the next version, but I really need more information. Can you tell me on which servers you've been experiencing this problem? That way I can try to do some more tests. It would also be nice if someone can send me unrealtournament.log (at least from the client, but also from the server if possible) immediately after this has happened.

I also get these messages sometimes on my servers.
It's not always the same diagnostics code though.
But I know how to reproduce the 0x000000BB:

Play some map
Stop the server.
Rename the map you just played in ftpprogram (just put - in front).
Restart server.
Connect to the gameserver then after 20 secs I get this message diagnosticscode 0x000000BB and nexgen disconnects me.
I cannot join unless i put the name back to original and restart the server.

Can someone help, I got tihs email regarding nexgen...

[ I have two pc's on a LAN but your server only allows one to connect.

If I connect the second pc, I get error:

nexgen server controller v1.09 'client id already in use'

Can you please advise what I should do.

I am connected via a LINKSYS wrt54g router.

Before, I have played on other servers with both pc's on.

I often play against my son on ctf, hence I connect 2 pcs.]

Is there a setting that i need to adjust or something on his end?

Looks like you've copied the UT folder to your other computer..

Go to one computer, open User.ini (can be found in 'System' of your UnrealTournament folder), do a quick search for [NexgenCC.GeneralConfig]
and remove the ClientKey and ClientID (just leave it blank), should look like this:

Settings[0]=(Name="ClientKey",Value="")
Settings[1]=(Name="ClientID",Value="")

I can't get Nexgen's spam controller to kick in for my server - I found this thread after searching, to find somebody else has the same problem as me. :(

hi all!

yes like said Letylove it will be nice to add in Nexgen the "Force Start" like there are in ASC.

other thing i dont know if you can add a setting:

about the Mutator List show on the Nexgen window.
can you add a setting in the Nexgen.ini like this:

ShowMutatorList:True/False

Admin server can set it to True if he want that all players can see the mutators installed on his server.

And other admin can set it to False if he dont want that all players see the mutator installed on his server.

My server full redirect feature doesn't work. I'm moving the server to another location and have set the max players inside the unreal tournament ini to maxplayers=1
I've also listed 2 alternate servers with there respective ip's in the nexgen.ini, but when I connect to the server I am now 1/1 players. If I try and connect from another pc in the house I get
connection failed
rejected by server

can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

had the same problem with version 110 of nexgen , with server preinstalled,
perhaps its used to notify of un-needed mods/files in the system folder , those of which are not included in the server.ini?

therefore would I delete remove these files and then disable the optimizer.

uggh lulthefirst is from my forum, i apologize..he's french. And young.

I'm going to finally move on and try nexgen now, finally pl0x stops living in the past (asc ftw :'( )

ASC caused me to loose a lot of ranks fast, and probably a lot of players due to in the INI it asks quite amazinly "max players = 15" but when i downgraded i didn't realise that was in there, meaning my server crashed. Last straw :P
