OK First of all I tought you were messing earlier when you brought this up in the game but obviously you werent.

In the log file it says a file HELIOS-SECURITY-HACK.EXE-191DC295.pf exists in the folder C:\Windows\Prefetch. I checked this folder and there is no such file. I also searched the computer for helios which returned no results. Also why is it dated 2004-10-29 when it is 2004-11-29.

I DO NOT CHEAT. I have been playing on the Multiplay servers for the last month with no hastle until today. I am not the only one with access to this computer but I do not believe anyone else that uses it would cheat or even know what an aimbot is.

I would like to get unbanned from this server so any information on how this can be achieved would be appreatiated.

John.

Also why is it dated 2004-10-29 when it is 2004-11-29The offence occured on 2004-10-29 at 19:10:06. This has been sitting in a log file for that length of time, after which i was sorting through this morning.

I did try an aimbot offline a few months ago but only to see what it was like and then I deleted it straight away. That date was probably the first time I used your server and it found that file in the prefetch folder that I did not know existed and I deleted it straight away. I consider myself to be gettting quite good at the maps on your server and dont need to cheat. It was an honest mistake bcause I did not know that file existed until the server told me and I got rid of it straight away.

Read that again...

6) An explaination for why the ban should be removed, because 99% of the time, you'll know why your banned. Explainations such as...

"I was just testing the aimbot/radar/hack/hook/whatever to see what it does"

...are not acceptable even if they are the truth. There is no excuse to have aimbots installed on your system, if we find evidence of a cheat on your system don't expect the ban to be removed.

Just an FYI
Files stored in prefetch are only there for about 2-3 weeks and sometimes at random boot ups of the system windows will reset the prefetch database file, this would most likely be why you did not find it

Well all that I can say is sorry. I really was not trying to cheat on your servers. I want to ask can the ban be not permanent this time (Maybe a month or longer) . And if my client ever gets reported again a permanent ban be enforced.

When UTAN 2.0 is released bans along these lines will be viable. Until then they are all permanent.
