Since in UnrealTournament'99 is no way to identify a player with a unique hash ID like in UT2004, I thought a mutator which kicks players off a server when using a unwanted nick name or tag will be a usfull addition to UT. So, here you go.
New in v1.1:
This mutator also helps you to protect your clan-tag, e.g. everryone who illegally uses or abuses your clan-tag and is not on the protected list, will be kicked instantly. See readme for details.
[Fixed]: Minor bug in "protect tags"-function removed.
[Added]: IP range can now be configured for B- or C-class subnets.
[Added]: Clan tag protection.
[Fixed]: Minor bugs fixed.

You may add the following line to your server ini under the [Engine.GameEngine] section, when you plan to use the console commands provided with the mutator:

I would love to see this incorporated in the OPBAN (Webadmin as well, I think SuperWebAdmin) Banning System ;)

Yes, this would be nice. Anybody can use my code (you can see it inside the u-file), because i did not put ANY copyright notice in it.
--> absolutely FREE code, not even GPL.
So, anybody can go ahead and merge the code into his project.
No problem for me, but i will not make the job with OPBAN.

Yes.. this is an excellent mod.. Love it.. Installed in UT99 Game of the Year on our sniping server and working great in all aspects except for one which i hope someone can help me with.. I have read the readme which was written real well.. and gives great detail.. only problem I have is once i get it all set up with tag protection for the clan, it kicks everyone from the server exept for the Clan members.... this is the configuration i am using..
KickByNickMsg=was removed from the server. Reason: server ban.
KickByProtectedTagMsg=was removed from the server. Reason: illegaly use of clan tag.
Unrotunately i have had to disable tempararly for the public to play.. it shows in the mutator list and also put in server packages to be able to use the console commands.. Any help sure would be appreciated.. This is a super great mod that is well needed in the UT99 world and am hoping that i am just missing something here or need to add something somewhere else to get the public peeps to play.. +++crowbar+++ i sent ya an email also buds with the email.. hoping for some luck from the pros here.. thanks!!

Is that the fix or another question.Not sure what ya mean by that Neabit or what the exact fix might be with that. Could ya be a little more specific please. Thanks..

If you post many lines from your log or ini files you should use code tags.
Otherwise you extremly blow up your post. You can find this option by reply in advanced mode if you push the button "#".

Thanks for the info Neabit.. does work much better eh... I have seen a few other post on this mod kicking all players whenever they join, and alot of peeps trying to get it working with no luck, looking forward to hearing some good news soon..
