So far so good no crashes at all today! I will keep an eye out. I also have many of my players reporting any issues thanks again!

Is the following a known issue? If so is there a fix available?

The server crashes after every map switch:

I had the same issue on my win based server but I had Anthrax install it on one of my linux based servers and worked fine. I haven't tried it on my win7 64bit server but might have to see if it will give me grief. I'll let ya know.

I've been having a few crashes on my server and the logs show the Signal: SIGSEGV [segmentation fault].

I put in a support ticket to gameservers and this is what they found...



I currently see a number of crashes within the logs due to segmentation faults. I'm not seeing any specific errors that would determine the issue, but there are a number of crashes following different clients connecting:

There could be an issue with the mutator checking the client's, or possibly mutator/feature of the game that the clients are attempting to load or server is attempting to initialize.

There's really no way to tell what's causing this because crash logging is broken on most versions of the linux UT server. I could add a decent crash logger to ServerCrashFix though. There's another major bug that needs to be fixed anyway...

That would be great...but I did have an issue with the ServerCrashFix. When I added my mutators the server would crash then restart with none of them in. It was like it would'nt take the mutators when I added the ServerCrashFix.

Can't install the Core.so file from the LinuxFix folder, where's the log:

Is there one for UT2004?

Someone got banned and said he was going to hack the server. He's come back OVER 30 times and crashed the server in the past month and a half. He has endless IP's & GUID's.

Also, I was wondering is there somewhere to post his info, the little community we have left should know about him.

The Core.so that comes with SCF 1.0 should ONLY be installed if you run the linux v436a server. If you're using v440 or later then no custom Core.so has to be installed. SCF 1.1 works with all versions of Core.so.

Pardon my tardiness.

This looks like a good addition.

Just a few questions before I give it a try:

Is this a stand alone fix or does it work in conjunction with another Security Application / MOD type thing?

Also, are there any KNOWN actors/packages/doo-dads that don't play well with it?

I'm running Gameservers' Linux flavor. Will I have similar problems that
SC]-[LO]\[G had?

Does v11 have proper linux logging or is it still not complete like Anthrax mentioned? Perhaps somebody has the source so our community coder can update this? Logging to a separate file would be amazing as well since most companies do not setup their servers in a manner that doesn't just overwrite the ucc.log file upon restart, erasing any crash logs that might've been.

heh, I just added logging to seperate files 2 days ago (I still have to add log rotation though). This will be included in v1.2.
