I play a game called Rune "Halls of Valhalla", and the Unreal engine is Lacking the File redirect.

Is there any why I can find out how and where Unreal Tournament did the redirect so I could try and make a MOD for Rune to redirect files.

I have your VC++ and have looked at the classes for quite some time and dont understand where to find the "IpDrv.HTTPDownload", yes I am new at this so please bare with me.

Maybe a good website will help if nothing else.

Any help on this would be great.

I wish I could help you, I don't have the knowledge to help you. There is however a good usergroup @ yahoo that might be able to help you. You could also try posting it in the BuF Coding forum

HTTPDownload is a native class that isn't defined in Uscript so you can't not directly port it. You would need access to the DLL headers and the abililty to create native code to do it.

I guess you won't be able to code it then, unless the UT header files are compatible with Rune

Rune suppose to be the same engine...

maybe it is compatable...

I have tried a couple of MODs in Rune that were Unreal Tournament Native..

-ServerAD's worked...

-CSHP 40 had no clues... (that was just a "Hey lets see what happends" kind of thing)

-Valhalla Beta2 had some clues but it didnt work..

hmm... I guess I will have to research this some more...

Same engine doesn't mean same game. There are a lot of things that would be similar, but a lot of things that would be different, especially at the Native level.

Yep, they will most likely be using a different build of the unreal engine.
