Default UT3 Linux cpu/mem usage

Anyone else having huge usages on linux?
got idle 12 to 16% cpu and 22 to 24% mem usage on a dual xeon 2.8 with 4 gig's of mem.
With the CustomUT mod on it adds some 8% extra to cpu usage on insta because it wants to spawn weapons.

something tells me this isn't gonna be fixed untill a new linux patch is made.

Seems like a lot of people/all are having this. Idle without players gives 29% cpu and 30% mem load on my system.

The servers cost very very much ressources. i also noticed this. with 10 players on DM Insta, we had mem @ 20% and cpu @ 25%-35% on a dualcore system.

I also noticed, that with 3 running ut3 servers and up to 2-3 ut2004 servers still running, you can't play without huge annoying lags, like packageloss. the client experiences a lack of performance on his system, as if he had much too less framerates, allthough it must be a server issue.

did anyone try if there is a difference between launching more servers on one ut3 bin and launching each server on his own directory/bin file?

if you want to reduce the idle load of an empty server

open the utengine.ini

[IpDrv.TcpNetDriver]
IdleServerTickRate=30

reduce that number to decrease the load, but do note if it's empty, the ping will also display/be higher (will return to "normal" once players join)

Yes that will solve some idle issue's but will not solve that the server uses about 40% cpu of my dual xeon server with 6 players on it which is still bullshit if i want to host games.
