Mediocre Botter Question

My Clan had an OGL iCTF match last nite!
Upon reviewin my log this AM, I banned a member of that Clan for a Zellious bot during the Match, and Forwarded the Info to OGL Admin!

They didn't even Know what Utan was last nite, and I have the IRC Log to prove it..
Secondly they where extremely fussy over server's,
Exspecially playin on mine!!!
We actually ended up playin the second map on there server being ]SP{ are good sportsman, even though there server is only 3186 version and OGL rules call for 3204 version....

Could some of you please post your thoughts to the email I received from Xanander, caus ei think this testin bot's stuff is CRAP!!!

This is usually the oldest excuse in the book.... Not to say its not the truth though

Many people that I've caught back in UT claimed they were "testing it" for one reason or another. The other half used the excuse "My brother installed it"

Anyways if you are asking what to do about it. I guess you ask yourself how honest do you think this clan/player/capt is. If you think they are sincere then don't ban (but also don't forget! hehe)

Otherwise, ban the guy and if he really didn't cheat, call it a lesson learned on the road of life.

1) Its not your responsibility to test out bots for anti-cheat unless you are a member of the anti-cheat team.
2) If you are still compeled to "test it" for whatever reason, have a second install of the game that you test it on and a clean install that you play your matches etc on.
3) If you get caught with it installed, remember its no ones fault but your own.

Any tester with common sense would do this . And the 'I was testing it' excuse is sometimes true but the 'My bro/grandpa/chihuahua installed it' excuse is probably bs :p .

He's a bloody fool for testing aimbots, its not his responsibility at all. The only person who should be testing aimbots is Wormbo, and thats it.

If your going to test Aimbots, you have 2 installs of UT2004 on your machine. Even Wormbo, I would guess, does this to ensure that he doesn't get banned from any servers.
