Cool Admin teleport command?

I've seen some servers use a "command" while in admin mode to teleport people.

I.e. mutate *name* goto *name* and they teleport.

I don't seem to have that luxery and i have many people on my BT server wanting to practice things over and over, does anyone know of a mod? I've searched google and all that comes up it UT3 so thats annoying.

There's a feature in ASC and Nexgen which allows admins to send people.

I haven't seen that feature. What version ASC?

I was having problems with nexgen, some people would connect to the server and yet it wouldn't show they've connected and then they'd be kicked off shortly after.

I might "re-try" nexgen shortly, but basically i apointed one person who was having the problem to admin, and when they were connected (right after i gave it them) it said they were offline.

Wierd bug.

As i said though, i haven't seen the command or haven't seen the way to teleport using asc...

To be honest, I've no clue where this feature is in ASC. I'm using nexgen on my servers. But I'm sure there's a feature like this, I remember a hacker used this function to send players to a terrible website..

I believe it's a special version of hidden admin or semi admin made by hobbit for BT servers.

spongebob, the feature you are talking about is the feature to send players to another server.

Oh, now i understand..he means that an admin sends a player to a teleporter URL in the map? Sorry, i missunderstood..

I never heard of a mod like this..Only thing which i know is the tele-hack, but this isnt the thing you are talking about I think..

Neither. The mod he is talking about will teleport a player to another player's location. Its used a lot in the BunnyTrack gametype, where players might have difficulties getting past a certain point, the admin or whoever has the login for it can teleport the player(s) to there location.

I'll see if I can get the mod from a friend of mine who runs a BT server and upload it to utfiles.

I also have another problem, i tried getting into my server just to play a map and it told me "Ran out of virtual memory. To prevent this condition, you must free up more space on your primary hard disk"

Now if i'm correct in the year 1999 they didn't commercially have GB hd's out there, OR GB R.A.M sticks.

So why am i getting this message when i have 31GB of data FREE and a 2 gig Ram gig laptop?

I am pretty sure that's a Windows problem, not a problem with UT.

Well apparently it's a "private" mutator. I do have the actual semiadmin file that uses these functions, and anything "private" when it comes to UT I really hate. I think everything should be public. Who's to say that you are the only one with the right to have it, just because you made it?

So here I am. In a dilemma. Should I package it up and put it on ut-files.com for the UT community or what?

And another thing many map builders give there teleport locations a different name So the only option is to make it random or use that Unknown mod

It shouldn't be too difficult to make a mutator like this. All you'd need to do is get a list of players, display a menu for the admin and simply change the location of another player so it's the closest possible. Does anyone want me to tackle the problem ?

ok but whats the use for random spawning?? we need a fixed location if i read it well for a bunnytrack server
all servers outside bunnytrack i see no use for this mod
just some admin fun maybe or use with ctf to spawn in there base but thats called laming and cheating

It's not random. You are simply teleported to the location of another player on the server. Nothing random about that.

adminthis, if you'd like I'll send you the mutator and you can see how it's done and maybe make a version of your own?

Please test this mutator offline and tell me if it needs any adjustments. I'm open to suggestions for a better name for the mutator and a change in the mutate commands so they are easier to remember and use.

This first version doesn't contain anything fancy like that as the problem has been solved in another way.

However, it shouldn't be too difficult to use trace to check if there are dangerous zones in the spot where a player is being moved. A dud actor with the same dimensions as a player can be used to test if it's possible to spawn at a given location.

It will be a bit more complex but I can give this a try.

Face, yes hobbit is private but i know people with it. I could have asked them for it. And they may have given it me, however i'd rather ask for a simple teleport command rather than a package of wierd commands. Because the more commands the more tempting it is to "abuse". The only thing i need is : Teleport player, so i'm not to bothered about hobbit. In MY eyes hobbit doesn't suit BT i've seen a BT server with it on an admins abused it so bad it was pathetic.

Azura as long as i can move players at will that's great. I have some great players that play on my server. Jantu, attack cha1nsaw and some others. And when they die due to lag or something. Or simply don't know the map it's great to be able to teleport them rather than them having to get there again.

It's a case of time and annoyance.

So thanks, testing now. Will edit this post.

And GREAT i really hope the slime thing works Lamers beware!

edit:
Ok i tested it on the server, ASC recognised it was there, it was in my ini (ServerActors=AdminMovePlayer.AdminMovePlayer) And uploaded Ect, Mutate AMP did nothing while logged in :/ any help?
