[Release] TweakBlocker BETA v0.1
TweakBlocker is a new antitweak tool that blocks all of the MAJOR rendering tweaks. It will detect/block a whole bunch of tweaks that are undetected by any other tools. My goal is to stop any tweaks that have a severe impact on the looks of the game (wallhacks/skinhacks/...).
Features include:
* Every check can be toggled on or off
* External logging
* To maintain compatibility with external mods, TB will only kick for non-replicated tweaks

No. TB only blocks major tweaks, most of which are undetected by AntiTweak. AntiTweak will block a whole set of minor tweaks (weapon/powerup tweaks and so on). Personally I find all of these minor tweaks perfectly acceptable but there aren't many people who share my view. If you want to block all common tweaks then use both tools. If you only want to block major tweaks, use TB.

So what ....... so because you got kicked, antitweak is bad?
Anth thanks for the explanation. I am one of those admins who does not want even minor tweaks allowed. I appreciate the added protection you provide to current anti tweak muts.
Very Glad to have the extra protection tweakblocker provides. Cheers.

I got a bunch of these after I put this on my Rocket-X server

[TBv01] === Player Kick ===
[TBv01] Player Name : NONE
[TBv01] Player IP : **.**.**.**
[TBv01] Tweaks found : 4
[TBv01] Tweaks : Brightskins -> UnrealShare.Belt_fx.Invis.Invis

Any ideas which setting I need to disable or will this antitweak be pointless to put on my server.

StrangeLove and Rocket-X have never worked with UTPure which is why I don't run them on this particular server. Thats kinda why I been looking for anticheats that won't conflict. I was hoping your antitweak would help me keep the server a bit more free of idiots.
I appreciate the fact there are still people like yourself making UT99 a fair game to play. Thanks for the reply and I'll try that setting later tonight when traffic slows down. TTYL

hi, i've been getting a handful of kicks similar to this:
Code:
ScriptLog: [TBv01] === Player Kick ===
ScriptLog: [TBv01] Player Name : xxx
ScriptLog: [TBv01] Player IP : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
ScriptLog: [TBv01] Tweaks found : 2
ScriptLog: [TBv01] Tweaks : Brightskins -> UnrealShare.Belt_fx.ShieldBelt.newgold, MeshEnviroMapped skins -> UnrealShare.Belt_fx.ShieldBelt.newgold
ScriptLog: [TBv01] === Player Kick ===
can anyone give me some more info on this "brightskins" tweak? is this an ini setting? an external program? how unfair is the advantage? i don't want to set "bCheckPlayerSkins" to false if this is legit. thanks in advance.

Its very unfair.
Basically makes the player skin much 'brighter' often a dayglow color so that you can see players often through walls or in darker spots of the map.
Its 2009 and there is no need to 'tweak' for performance.
Any machine out there can play this game max everything plus ultra high s3tc textures at a bazillion frames per sec.
Tweaking is for bitches who need an 'edge'
Just my two cents.

thanks for the reply. i figured by the name that it made skins brighter, but seeing through walls is a pretty unfair advantage. it's sad that i'm getting so many of these. but i'll keep the check on.

I'm also getting the shieldbelt brightskins thing on several players that I do not believe are using this.
