GameServers.net Redirect server back online

GameServers.net just finished working on the UT redirect server. The reason for downtime was an HD upgrade and network card switch.

We found a problem with of the onboard network cards of the server. It appeared to be working with a faulty buffer which flooded and shut down the network interface. We placed a new Intel PCI network card which should be able to handle the traffic comming in and going out of the server.

Also, a storage update from 160Gb to 300Gb. Your files are also kept save by a seperate backup disk which works in raid configuration. In case of a HD failure we can simply switch the HD's and replace the faulty by a new one which will then be become the backup.

No files were lost during this process, we are currently working on the http dir listing and solving an upload bug. But the downloads work again.

BTW, how long does it take for your uploads to be on the server for use?

Also, I'm using the redirect, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm using the address: RedirectToURL=http://uz.unrealadmin.org/

I believe the files are on the redirect in aroud one hour. And the redirect you have is correct, but do you have port 3128, en compression is true?

http://uz.unrealadmin.org/ only allows clients 451 to download. 436 people can't use the UA redirect.

Stick with the Gameservers.net one... it works for all clients.

So, LeeBe, the ftp upload info above, redirect.gameservers.net, works for both uz.unrealadmin.org and uz.gameservers.net?

I am guessing that the upload location is different for both?

if you are uploading to gameservers.net, then you should be using uz.gameservers.net as your redirect

OK. I'm confused. :-) The redirect above doesn't have some of the files I have uploaded. However, this redirect, http://uz2.gameservers.net/ut2004, does have them.

The ftp site above is for:

So, I was told to upload to redirect.gameservers.net for the redirect http://uz/unrealadmin.org.

If the redirect is for uz.gameservers.net, what is the ftp info to upload to uz.unrealadmin.org?

And last, does anyone know about http://uz2.gameservers.net and what the ftp upload info for that one is?

I thank someone for straightening out this info. Maybe one post with all the correct info would iliminate the confusion.

If I am using the http://uz.unrealadmin.org for my redirect address in the game, is the correct place to upload UT2004 files: redirect.gameservers.net?

Are there other UT2004 redirects I should be aware of?

use this in your ini RedirectToURL=http://uz2.gameservers.net/ut2004/
the upload addy is ftp.uz2.gameservers.net login=upload pass=upload upload to the ut2004 folder

Thanks. However, do you know why this site recommends http://uz.unrealadmin.org/ as the redirect server? Is uz2.gameservers.net part of the redirect system of uz.urealadmin.org?

Well, I setup RSC with the ftp site as you indicated above, i.e. ftp.uz2.gameservers.net

I used the login and password you indicated and it does not work. I get this error: Connecting to server...Login incorrect.

So, something is wrong in the above information.

I did try it by leaving off the "ftp" in the above, and it's working. I hope it's the right site.

Unreal Tournament 2004 servers should use http://uz2.gameservers.net/ut2004/
