Default ServerExt version 107 released

I've just released version 107 of ServerExt. This release only contains a couple of bug fixes.

For those of you who don't know ServerExt: ServerExt is a package containing extentions for UT2004 servers. It includes things like a Team Balancer, Chat Filter, RSS Feed broadcaster, Reserved Slots, Remote Stat logging, Stats Chat Logging, Player Join Dump.

Having a little issue with the ServQuery part. On servers that aren't using it, the data returned for a \\players\\ query is in this order:

1. player
2. frags
3. ping
4. team

With ServerExt's ServQuery enabled, it's in this order:

1. player
2. ping
3. frags
4. team
5. deaths
6. character
7. scored
8. carries
9. lives
10.playtime

Would it be possible to reverse the transposed Ping and Frags items to keep linear compatability with the unenhanced servers?

the gamespy protocol doesn't specify an order of appearance (actually, it doesn't specify a lot). so it is standard compliant

servquerys output has been like that since it's first release for UT2003.

for the gamespy protocol you will have to rely on the key labels, not the order in what they appear.

Understand. I've been working with a plugin for trillian that is extremely limited on how it parses data. Once it does a forward seek in the buffer for a key label, it can't go backwards. Lacking any conditional logic in the parsing routine, the easiest fix was to appeal to you. There may be enhancements to the plugin down the road though. Not like the functionality is crippled, it's just not 100% or as efficient as it could be.

Do you know of anything that would cause all the chats to be listed as belonging to the team of the player chatting? Like this:

I've installed serverext 107. I start the (dedicated) server with the team balancer as a mutator, and it will be there for the first map. However after people vote on the first map it dissapears unless I manually select it from the mutators on the webadmin.

The description page says not to load anything as a serverpackage but how do I make is stay resident without something referrering to it in the UT2004.ini?

Also, while running the team balancer, I assume the "bots balance teams" and "players balance teams" that come with the standard webadmin interface need to be turned off?

El Muerte's site seems to be down. Does anyone know where I can download this?

Dutchman: add it to you commandline. And leave the player balance and bot balance checked.

Any guidance on how I can troubleshoot this, because it's not working. When I change my ini and try to start my server, it just won't start up. I have a few things installed like, Antitcc, UTComp but that's about it. Any other conflicts I should know about or troubleshooting steps?

*Edit* Ok got it working, was the "..." in the chatfilter area that you are supposed to add to the ini. Perhaps remove this for the noobs in the crowd?

Ok, I'm a little lost here.

I run a gameserver at 69.31.96.125 and would like to run the stats DB at our clan site www.clanfate.com. Clanfate.com is where PHP and MySQL are, so I need to use Remote Stats to get the logs over there, correct?

I've changed the GameStatsClass to:

GameStatsClass=ServerExt.RemoteStats

But for:

[ServerExt.RStatsLink]
BufferSize=2048
http://www.clanfate.com/utstats/RemoteLogDump.php
fRetryDelay=30
SecretName=secret
SecretValue=MySecret


is that URL right? Does RemoteLogDump go on the server w/PHP and MySQL I assume? It was zipped with a directory structure that mirrors the UT folder structure on the gameserver (not clanfate.com).

I got UTStats setup ok I think at http://www.clanfate.com/utstats if that helps.
