Thats a bug with the memory scan feature.

You should set

MemScanKick=False
MemoryScan=True

(This will still log memscan)

or

MemScanKick=False
MemoryScan=False

to disable it completely.

Indeed that are all flase positives

And next time you post logs it would be nice if you would remove the players nick/IP before you're 100% sure if he/she cheats. Just a bit of privacy

Altered addresses starts with rrrrrr, and there is no hook match.

This is caused by a bug in the memory scan feature. You should disable memscankick, see previous posts.

Also, this is the only thing it's picked up since we put it up.

Solution: shoot all players using mac

Or you can just ignore it as the cheats don't work on mac anyway.

Only good solution is to make UTDC fully linux and mac compatible. Untill that time they will not be checked.

I have a problem with UTDCv17 and wonder if anyone can offer a suggestion.
I dont run a server, Im just a player, I dont understand the technical side of it.
I was playing on servers running UTDCv16 with no problem at all. Along comes v1.7 and I keep getting kicked. I get messages saying "a cheat has been detected" which I dont understand as I have NEVER used cheats AT ALL!! I play fair! Also get message saying I have a corrupt memory, I've run all sorts of checks and can't find any problems with my PC, apart from the usual spyware, etc. which is dealt with imediately on my PC. Can someone PLEASE tell me why UTDCv17 tells me these things and what I can do to sort it? I love to play UT and am missing out on my favourite servers because of this.

True cheat or not ? I been told some of the new processors to day will cause utdc to say a "speed hack" is being used when its not.However I run dual p4, and have yet to be told by utdc let alone kicked for "speed hacking ".Anyone have any ideas about the below log ? True cheat or False ?

AFAIK it's very unlikely (maybe practically impossible) for corrupted memory to give a specific hook match like that.

It looks like a valid detection.

Shambler is right. Direct hook matches are bad. If this is really caused by your PC it would be a good idea to contact Troublesome asap.

Hello all. I recently lost my server admin so please bear with me.

I'm trying to add UTDC 1.8 but I'm having problems.
I've uploaded the files to the System directory and restarted the server per the ReadMe.txt file. I didn't change anything in the UTDC.ini file.

The files downloaded when I connected to the game server, however, I don't see a UTDC logo. Also, via the system console I can get the UTDC commands and settings but when I perform a check it says that the check on my connection is false.

I was ver 436 but I upgraded to 451.

Am I missing something here?

Any advice?

Please disregard....I did some homework and I figured it out. I didn't realize that you needed a minimum of 2 players on the server for UTDC to be active.

Didn't care much about logged speed hacks since as I've heard they can be triggered if UT was just copied instead of properly installed from the disk, but Commandline: "-changevideo" does looks odd.

Unfortunately a known clanmember is concerned here so I would need safe clarification please.

Had a guy the other day that was detected for a speed hack..the numbers were similar to the logs above. Turns out he was playing on a laptop, and his battery was low...plugged it in, reconnected, all was fine.This is just FYI. Learning how the dumbest things can cause speedhack logs etc.
