Its not fixed it wont be fixed they will pop up again and probably have already dont ban an ip fix your game enuf with the half ass shit.

What is it exactly they're stealing? It must be something other than the GUID since you can simply join a game and acquire that from players.

what do they steal? maybe anything they want.
my clanmate here (dunno how he got that) made me a little demonstration. i was so relief to learn what do they steal and asking Wormbo awkward questions.
they are able to do anyting related about game, with simple coded server-side packages.
and i think the same way with Buttpirate . if we own these copies of the game , then we are free to play whereever we like ( as servers). since i've found out they could steal out our cdkeys, i have been stuck in a couple of " well known " servers, and afraid of playing on servers i dont know who runs. sometimes seeing all servers empty , and cant join other unknown servers with players on them. sorry for the word, but this is cr*p .

i feel your pain bro im scared to play on most servers. If i dont know the server i dont play it, im so paranoid imma loose my key its crazy i cant sleep i cant eat all i do is game and stare at a wall god help me.

Don't count on Epic to fix it, and ignore WarTourist as he cannot be trusted.
I tried to bring this to thier attention and WarTourist's response was to warn me not to discuss it, then he "attempted" to ban me from the atari forums.
They do not want to admit there is a problem and do whatever they can to silence anyone who tries to bring it out into the open.

You totally missed the point.
Punkbuster is a server-side cheat protection that targets malicious clients. This thread discusses malicious server admins. No cheat protection will ever protect you from those.
