Redirect Server Checker (RSC)
Redirect Server Checker (RSC) is a utility to help keep your redirect servers in synch with your game server. RSC will get a file list of your redirect (via http, ftp, or local file store) and compares it to files in a location you specify. If a file is missing (maps, textures, etc) on the redirect, RSC will compress them and move them to a user specified folder. Then you can move them where they need to go or let RSC ftp them to your server. Works with UT1/UT2003/U2XMP/UT2004 servers/redirects.
Imagine managing your redirects with two clicks!
Other features/capabilities: Batch compress/decompress files Install UMODs Get full/quick md5's, supports batch processing Reports files on the redirect that may no longer be needed Convert cache Perform "sanity checks" that will help to identify mismatched versions or corrupted files on the redirect Cache HTML file lists for quicker re-queries Get the file listing of a redirect, can be saved to a file Includes optional filters that can filter out original content A must-have tool for any UT admin!
BE SURE to visit the site, www.brainless.us, for the latest version

Heh, yeah, this seems to require .NET to install. A linux version of this would be great. Better still, a java version. Just my preference.

I'd be willing to port it to Mono (.net for linux) if the author is willing to share the code.

Heh! Some people run linux locally. It's not just for servers you know?
And RSC is one of my fave tools too. He added in the server-to-server comparing and it's been great. If he can get groups of directories on a gameserver to compare vs one directory at a time, that would really rock.

Recursive ftp queries were implemented in 2.24
Don't hold your breathe for a linux version--would be too much work to port to linux mono. If I do a version for 2k7 it'll be rewritten from the ground up with linux compatibility in mind.

Could you provide an example of the FTP.ini file?
I do the redirection for multiple servers, 3 99 and one 2K4 (maybe 2 shortly). Do I just put in one line with password and path for each server?
Such as:
User:Pass@ServerIP1:PORT/UZ_PATH
User:Pass@ServerIP2:PORT/UZ_PATH
Also is it possible to get a list exported of the UZ files on a site? I found that the RSC --> Redirect File List gives me the UT extentions and not UZ extentions. Maybe I have the servers entered backwards? Or if that's correct, could it be possible to get that same list for both the Game and Redirect Servers to help prune uneeded files from the redirect?

ftp.ini is not used for what you are thinking of. It's just for telling rsc what folders to check on the remote host--and it's considered obsolete. Use the recursive query option and you'll be fine.
The redirect file list is from the redirect, just the compression extension is dropped.
Use the redirect cleaner in the file menu to clean up the redirect.
Make sure you are using the latest version. Get it at www.brainless.us and please post there if you need further help.

I have patched this version as you will not be able to install the above version with .net >2.0
virus scan it first of course.
all files appear to be already on uz server ... excellent
Wises.
