I agree with Sephir guys, the documentation is horrid.

We already seem to have 2 posts saying yes & no to EUT replacing PURE. The wiki (which I have read several times) is good for troubleshooting, but bad on first time installation and an actual explanation of everything EUT does. Especially if the person is working on a server for the first time.

So, we need an Introduction section: EUT enhances score keeping, the HUD, cheat protection, web admin, etc. It is an all-in-one replacement for programs such as SWA, PURE, MMC, etc. (Note: I have no idea how much of the above is true.) This is ESPECIALLY important, because mose people already have many of these things installed and need to knwo what to remove.

Then we need step by step installation instructions. I'm sorry, the current ones basically assume you know A LOT.

well i think i get the gist of it now.... problem is i have utdc and anthchecker running... i don't know what order it's all supposed to go in or anything server is dead after adding eut lines. Also maybe i missed it in the wiki but i see two versions of mvreporter... is mvreporter.u just the regular one and mvreporter2.u is the updated one to go with eut?

ZPPure7G should be last in the list I think, make sure there are no spaces after any lines and make sure all the files are in their correct folders - thats one of the most common mistakes, for eg copying the 'System' folder in to the 'System' folder (/System/System/) instead of just the contents.

To JustMe: What changes were made to SuperWebAdmin and MvReporter2 code in order to make it work with EUT ? Since the code is obsfucated in EUT zip file I require either the whole source or the patches(diff-s).

Well to my great surprise, this DOES work with RX and SLV (yay!).

Also it seems to be going quite well with my ASC747 tests as well.

My one request - can someone tell me where the config INI for this is (and I don't mean EUTServer.ini). I kinda want to find it, heh - instead of having to do all config from webadmin :\

Packages like these were modified to recognise the new gametypes - refer to the wiki, under "Packages". IpDrv was simmilarly modified, so that it broadcasts EUT gametypes as regular gametypes, so your server will be spidered by the masterbrowser/CSSports etc.

You should find these settings inside UnrealTournament.ini or server.ini.

It is added at the end of your server.ini after first run.

EDIT:

Very strange. The actor was going, and the client side stuff was as well (HUD, etc). The thing is, once I do something in webadmin, it stays until a map switch. After that point, it is all lost.

So something is keeping it from pulling a SaveConfig(); perhaps?

theres a small bug. when joining server in spec or as player 3 peeps have been kicked up to now. me included (i was spec) for Min Y: 0.000000

now my mouseY is default 6.0 so theres definatly something up.

minimum mousY is set to 0.200000 to stop the center view usage in eut settings. works most of time but sometimes makes false accusations .

Presume we still need utpure.

I've read the WIKI!! I understand why IpDrv was modified, but I don't understand why did SWA need such update, it can run any gametype which is set in the int files.

The reason is that since the gametype broadcasting is faked, there was 2 entries called 'Tournament Team Game' under gametype. SWA was modified to show 'EUT TeamGame Plus' so that you would be able to select the correct gametype without guessing.

I've figured out my issue :\

If you are using ASC (ATH Server Controller), and use the ASC booter functions, don't you dare forget to change the GameType from BotPack.CTFGame to EUT_1D.SmartCTFGame

Restart the map when you have changed stuff, and it should stick.

The cap sounds are gone from CTF, that's quite annoying since it takes a while to notice someone capped now. :'(
