Ya I've already reported it (on the WIKI), it was a typo in the code. The next release has fix

Thank you Justme Everyone hears the sounds but me, must be a local setting.

However the issue was brought up in an earlier post referring to the log entry

2005-11-18 21:43.37 [EUT CHEAT] *XxSp@zxX* [IP] 24.xx.xxx.xxx Client Has Illegal texture Usage! [UWW] [Debug:] 0 None

THis happened while playing DM-Kitchen{Lasa} it does it on a couple other maps as well. I have yet to see the relation between the maps though. Also I am using a fresh install of UT99 GOTY v436. The reply was "Link me to the map I will fix it" ?? THis happens on at least 4 maps and who knows how many others on the 100 or so maps we have.

Any solutions? Thanx all.

a few things about this program when installing....


This does not replace your current webadmin, instead this is an extra webadmin to go along with your current webadmin. And with that, you need to make sure you have the images line of code in there too. (ApplicationPaths[1]=/images) because I use SWA, and that doesn't require the images line. But to use the EUT part of it, you need to have it in their so it looks proper.

It would be nice to just have it all included in 1 webadmin.

I use the 3dfx mapvote. I just had to go through and make sure I changed the game types to EUT type. example (EUT_1D.SmartCTFGame)

I like the hud and the scoreboard! Great work!

Kind of weird to have the map name put there... and, dunno if it's worth mentioning that this happens both with and without the Enhanced Messages and Sprees turned on (I turned them off because everyone wanted the defaults back).

All the additional sounds are controlled by Announcer volume control. That is the only reason I can see someone not being able to hear the sounds.

Got the same problem with Kitchen LASA disconects all people

and 1 more thing m8 type "showhelp" in consule when you are in server
that brings up a new menu then you can turn the sounds on client side and some more options,
and Monsteranouncer,2k4combo's and purestats must be turned off

I have a problem... not sure if it's eut or mapvotela. If i switch maps as serveradmin(webadmin is fine) the server gets locked on whatever mutator is on. After that initial vote as admin even voting as a regular player won't let mapvotela switch mods. Has anyone tried or noticed this?

From the wiki

If a non EUT gametype is loaded your server will auto restart to the same map and mutators but with an EUT Gametype.

i've just studied the whole EUT readme and
this thread and i got some questions now,
hope someone can answer them.

on our clanserver i run UTPure 7G, UTDC 1.6b
and AnthChecker 1.31...
what addtional functions regarding cheat
protections does EUT provide?
or in other words: will i miss much
protection, when i dont install EUT (yet)?

now about SmartCTFGame...
i didnt see editable settings for overtime/
sudden death like they are included in
SmartCTF 4C.
they would be very handy, cause there are
ladders where overtimes arent played.
clanbase iCTF for example.
are there any plans to include overtime
settings in the future?

If I may offer a theory... when you switch maps in Webadmin, the mutators running on your "current" map are captured as defaults before the change. And mapvote knows to unload mutators loaded by the previous vote, but doesn't unload "default" mutators.

What you should do ... before actually changing the map in webadmin ... unload the non-default mutators from webadmin. The side-effect of doing this will be that your map you switch to will not have any custom per-gametype mutators loaded (in other words, normal weapons) ... but when you vote next, everything should return to normal.

So you want an option where a game would end on time limit reguardless of score? I have no idea about 4C settings so you would have to be specific.

The code he made looks like this. The config has a bOverTime option. If set false, then the end ends on time, with the scoreboard saying the game ended. I believe that is it, anyway.

So basically all you want is if the time limit is reached then you force a game end regaurdless of score. Simple enough. Just wanted clarification that there were no other conditions to be met other than that, and a game setting.

Probably what happens. With a twist, because those two mutators can not be loaded at the same time and you are telling mapvote to load 'the other one'.

I have seen a similar problem.

I have a couple of servers with sniper/insta, and if I start those servers with the commandline (leaving out the sniper/insta muts because mapvote will handle those), the server is allmost allways stuck on one weapon.

To get it working I have to use either ActorCLP or ServerMode. I use the exact same settings like I use in the startup script, but without them I can not get mapvoteLA to load the correct mutators.

I can switch maps from webadmin, the current set of mutators will be loaded on that map, but the next time I vote it will be back to normal.

Try using ActorCLP, see if it works for you

RGR ill give it a shot... problem wasn't with webadmin btw just in game admin
