However, they have a mutator that allows the "combo" with the enchanced shock rifle.

I'd love to see that . Does it produce red combo explosions ?

Yes it does. The explosions are much more powerful as well. (Its basically a instagib combo) I will see if I can locate it. I have/had it on my computer somewhere.

It sure does. Hooked adresses match, and it even says the name of the cheat used.

I am assuming you have version UTDCv13b, if so then you probably put this in the UTDC.ini:
Addr436[0]=280061176
Addr436[1]=0
Addr436[2]=0
Inst436[0]=1095158
Inst436[1]=0
Inst436[2]=0
Addr451[0]=279973933
Addr451[1]=0
Addr451[2]=0
Inst451[0]=106238
Inst451[1]=0
Inst451[2]=0
Addr440[0]=269496473
Addr440[1]=0
Addr440[2]=0
Inst440[0]=242834
Inst440[1]=0
Inst440[2]=0
Please change it back to:
Addr436[0]=0
Addr436[1]=0
Addr436[2]=0
Inst436[0]=0
Inst436[1]=0
Inst436[2]=0
Addr451[0]=0
Addr451[1]=0
Addr451[2]=0
Inst451[0]=0
Inst451[1]=0
Inst451[2]=0
Addr440[0]=0
Addr440[1]=0
Addr440[2]=0
Inst440[0]=0
Inst440[1]=0
Inst440[2]=0
That is only for version 12, not version 13. All that stuff you put in there is already included in the 13 release version.
Thanks.

Hi, i'm a mac user, this must be a really good anti-cheat because most of the servers i used to play now have this protection.
Too bad is the fact that being a mac user i can't play in the servers anymore.
Is there any solution for mac users who want to play in protected servers?

Yes. The server operator can configure UTDC.ini to allow Mac and Linux users to connect to the server without being checked. It doesnt work on all servers though. You should talk to the operator/admin of the server(s) you play on.

well theres no obvious reason why it crash so i need a tester who got a server that crash and preferly can test it without me having to change filenames if a change is needed...pm me
btw i saw in the helilus 4.2 that he have an option to fake linux so its really not secure to allow them :/

odds are good he is only faking linux to bypass utdc. So change your method of determining os.

I am not a coder, so I am just thinking loud here:
When a client responds "I am Linux", could UTDC then attempt to kill every process on a Windows machine? After all, if the client really is Linux, then it shouldnt mind?

Hmm, I did say that the Linux/MacOS exception would eventually be exploited. Anyway, along the lines of Pizzaman's idea, would it be possible to make a call/check to something that is Linux specific ? I think Linux uses an SDL renderer and maybe there's something else that's system specific.

Its not really clever. But Linux or Mac don't load .dll's.

Maybe it is possible to make another native code file for Linux. Just like ProfQ did his latest md5 package checker .... It should protect against os faking.
