Receiving "Annoyance" bans even when not wanted
I have some banns which are recorded as "Annoyance" but on my match server I can't keep these players banned so I have Receive Bans Under 'Annoyance' Category set to FALSE. However, it still is banning them.
My account name is: [Z]Mòó§ë

the way it seems to work from my experience is the ini settings are only applicable to global bans. ANY bans added to your account by you are pushed to all of your servers regardless of your ACCEPT/DENY settings. If this is intentional or not i do not know..but this is how it works for us...I also have annoyance set to False...but every server on my network gets pushed these bans. I like it this way, but see your concern.

Yikes!! I hope thats not how it is supposed to function. I don't like these cats so I don't want to put up with any of their garbage language on my pub servers but if a clan I like needs to play them and want to use my match server, I can't goto the match admins and tell them so and so cannot play because he's an asshole I need to be able to allow "Annoyance" and those other options even if I'm the one who entered them into my account.

Frogger is correct, any bans you have entered will be sent to your server regardless, this is intentional.

When you kill 6 people in Unreal Tournament it's a "Monster Kill", in Quake3 it's "Excellent", and in Counter-Strike it's "Kick Banned"

Then what are these options for?
Receive Bans Under 'Aimbot' Category 255
Receive Bans Under 'Annoyance' Category 255
Receive Bans Under 'Skin Hack' Category 255
Receive Bans Under 'Wall Hack' Category 255
Receive Bans Under 'Other' Category
Admins like me run a few servers, some pub some private match servers. I want all cheaters banned from all my servers. The people who I ban as "annoyance" or "other" I just don't want on my public server. Is there a way to do this in UTAN 1.0? If not, could I request this as a feature for 2.0?

Any GISP bans are received regardless of those settings. Those settings only affect the Global Bans. It doesn't matter if you untick all of them, the people you ban on your account will always be banned.
Sadly, it is not possible to filter servers in UTAN 2.0.

Okay but it just seems strange to me that anyone, other than cheaters, would be globally banned for "annoyance" or "other" I always thought this was a great feature for admins, like myself, who run a public server and a private server for matches. You can't really ban people from the match server just because you don't like them (annoyance bans for example) since then if you have to play vs that player, you have to use another server which you may not have or want to use

i would think during match play you could just turn off UTAN. or maybe setup another account to use for match play...

Thank you
Frogger - I think that would defeat the purpose of what UTAN does for admins like myself If I wanted to manage two or more seperate ban lists, I wouldn't require UTAN
